My Hive gaming update

avatar

Another season has ended on Splinterlands and I made it to Gold I again. That is as high as I can get with my cards. Lots of potions, but a reasonable amount of DEC. Spirit Druid Grog was the most valuable card I got.

Rewards

I also won a booster pack. I bought one recently, but I am not sure it is the best use of my DEC. I am not looking to spend HIVE on the game and it will take a while for me to save enough DEC to get decent upgrades.

Booster

I would live to level up my summoners, but that gets expensive. Some of the newer cards might be better, but then I have to start from scratch. I am happy enough to work my way up each season and see how it goes. I am not playing for profit. I will sell excess cards to pay for others. I have invested in golds to increase my rewards, so do not need the regular editions.

IN dCITY my little town is slowly growing. I buy cards as I gain SIM and have to cope with an excess or lack of workers. I sometimes spend some HIVE on it. I reckon most cards have about a 100 day payback time, so eventually I should be in profit. It is a very passive game, so does not demand much of my time.

dCITY

I have given up on Cryptobrewmaster for now as the effort it needs seems too much for what I can gain. They want you to pay for more things now. Some of those may have a good payback, but I lost interest.

I am still playing Rising Star as I enjoy it more. I have collected most of the cards with just a few of the more expensive ones to get. Various cards are going out of print, so the market prices could go up. You can see I have gone over 100,000 skill, but I need it due to my large number of fans. I often get a few thousand drunk fans you give me ego issues, so I have been doing lots of lessons. I have been doing swaps with various people to get the optimal cards for that. I am after more production lesson cards if anyone else wants to swap. I have a fair few of other sorts.

Rising Star

I thought I might get to over 1000 cards this year, but due to swaps and selling I am not quite there. I just bought another twelve packs with winnings, but there were no really special cards in there. Epics and legendaries have to be hard to get or the editions will run out too quickly.

A couple of new games were announced at Hivefest, but I may need to try and resist getting into those if they eat too much time. I do think it is good to have more options for players. We need games that are mobile friendly as that is a big market that could draw more people onto Hive.

To battle!

I gave up on crypto brewmaster as well. I think if I had gotten into it sooner it might have been different, but I needed to drop some of the stuff that was monopolizing my time. My season rewards were not that great. I got to Diamond 1, but I didn't get any good cards and I also didn't get much in terms of DEC. I have been moving most of my DEC into Hive or Leo anyway. Nice job on that Legendary pull!

I sort of try to have each game pay for its own upgrades, but that does not always work out. I am making a few HIVE worth on Rising Star each day though. I am interested to see what gets added to the game next year.

It has been growing quite a bit. I'd like to be able to sell some of my cards for a nice profit at some point. I have some extras that I am not using at the moment.

I cashed out of CBM once, but it will take forever to get there again. Not worth the effort.
