Why Splinterlands Keeps Bringing Me Back

There are a lot of games you can play when you have some free time, but Splinterlands has a different feeling to it.

What I enjoy most is that it isn’t simply about putting your strongest cards into a battle and hoping for the best. You actually have to think about your lineup, the ruleset, your mana, and the abilities of each card before the battle begins.

Sometimes you can have what looks like the stronger team and still lose because your opponent built a smarter lineup.

That is one of the things that makes every battle interesting.

The Strategy Is What Makes It Fun

One of my favourite parts of Splinterlands is trying to figure out which cards work well together.

A card might not look particularly impressive on its own, but when you combine it with the right support cards, it can become extremely useful.

The rulesets also make things more interesting. A strategy that works perfectly in one battle might completely fail in another because of a different ruleset.

This means you can’t always rely on the same lineup.

You have to adapt.

And honestly, those moments when you manage to predict your opponent’s strategy and counter it successfully are some of the most satisfying moments in the game.

Losing Is Part of the Learning

Of course, not every battle goes your way.

There are times when I look at the battle afterwards and wonder what I was thinking when I created my lineup 😂.

But that’s also part of the experience.

Every loss gives you something to think about. Maybe you placed a card in the wrong position. Maybe you didn’t pay enough attention to speed. Maybe your tank wasn’t suitable for the ruleset. Or maybe your opponent simply had a better strategy.

Instead of seeing every loss as a bad thing, I think it’s better to use it as a learning experience.

The Community Makes It Better

Another reason I enjoy Splinterlands is the community around it.

There are always people sharing strategies, talking about cards, posting battle results and discussing the latest developments.

For someone still learning the game, this can be really useful.

You can discover combinations you probably wouldn’t have thought of yourself and learn how more experienced players approach battles.

Still Learning

I’m definitely still learning and experimenting with different strategies.

There are cards and abilities I haven’t completely figured out yet, and sometimes I still make mistakes that cost me a battle.

But that’s part of why I keep coming back.

Every time I play, I feel like there is something new to learn.

For me, Splinterlands isn’t just about winning every battle. It’s about improving, experimenting with different cards and hopefully becoming a better player over time.

And when a strategy you’ve been working on finally works?

That feeling is worth it. 🎮

Looking Forward to More Battles!

One thing I also like about Splinterlands is that there is always a reason to keep playing. Whether it’s trying to improve my win rate, learning how to use a new card, or simply experimenting with a different strategy, the game doesn’t feel completely repetitive.

I’m also interested in seeing how my own skills develop over time. Right now, I still have plenty to learn, but I think that’s what makes the journey enjoyable. Looking back at some of my earlier battles and comparing them with the way I play now is already interesting.

Hopefully, with more battles and more experience, I can become much better at reading the rulesets and predicting what my opponent might do.

For now, I’ll keep playing, learning and enjoying the battles. There will definitely be more wins, more losses, and probably a few questionable decisions along the way 😂.

That’s all part of the Splinterlands experience.
