Hello everyone, today I am writing an article about how to vote for a Hive Witness. Hive Witnesses are Hive accounts which confirm the blocks of the Hive blockchain. So in essence, they are very important for our ecosystem. Ofcourse we don't want to have malificous persons doing this job. So, it's very important to vote for trustworthy people. One of the Hive witnesses I have voted for is @wrestorgonline because they are building a game on the Hive Blockchain in the theme of wrestling. While doing so, they are spreading the word about Hive to other gamers and wrestling fanatics. They are in my eyes already doing a great job, but ofcourse it's still a rather young project and could improve but they are definitely rocking it so far! Now, let's talk about how you can cast your witness votes. As people often don't do it because they don't know they exist or people set and forget. Although, it's important to adjust them every once in a while because witnesses become inactive for example.

How to vote for a Hive Witness

I first want to make a disclaimer that there are multiple ways of achieving the goal of casting your votes. I am just going to show one.

Make sure you're logging in on the website. If you're logged in, your name will appear in the right top corner. When you click on your name, the following drop down menu will appear. Afterwards click on: Witnesses as show in the picture below:

This will bring you to the following page. Here you just have to click on the V next to the name of the account you want to vote for as you can see on the next picture:

That's it. As you can see, it isn't that hard. Everyone can vote for up to 30 witnesses, so you can vote for multiple ones. Personally I would recommend to check out @wrestorgonline and overthink if you would like to vote for them, I did!

What is WOO?

WOO, aka Wrestling Organization Online is an upcoming play2earn game on the Hive blockchain about wrestling. They aim to bring back territory wrestling, where the wrestlers are tradeable nft's. The public beta of the game launched on December the 13th. It's an autobattler in the theme of wrestling. There are 3 undercard events and 1 main event. Winning an undercard event gives you 1 point and winning the main event gives you 2 points, so 5 points are what we're fighting for. There are wrestler NFT's and manager NFT's which gives bonuses to the wrestlers. In the near future you'll be able to earn $WOO, just by playing the game, a real #play2earn game!
