Hello everyone, this month I discovered the Freecompliments community, I already spread quite some compliments using the hashtag #freecompliments but today I decided to spread the word of WOO here as well. 2 days ago, there was an AMA of @wrestorgonline in which we could ask questions in regards to the wrestling themed game they are developing on the Hive blockchain. I'll go deeper in on some aspects which were said. Enjoy reading these updates!
Game launch
All eyes are on the imminent game launch of their game. @bookerman told us that they will need 1 to 2weeks more before the public launch will happen. They really prefer to deliver a working product rather than a product which still has plenty of bugs in it. I totally agree with the approach so I'll patiently wait for the public launch!
Crate event
The crates which could be earned from purchasing WOOPARTSUN packs around July will be dropped in the same period of time, so in the next 2 weeks. We were told that we won't be able to open and/or trade them. Probably the game launch has more priority on it, which seems logical to me.
Rewards for playing
In the AMA Bookerman explained that we won't be able to receive rewards for playing the game at launch. As they prefer to get all details and bugs out of the game before dispensing rewards. Ofcourse this is kind of sad, who doesn't like rewards, but I could understand this decision. If there would be an exploitable bug which could mess up the whole tokenomics, it would be way worse.
Zealy
Nothing was really said about the Zealy contest which is nearing its end withonly 2 more days left. But I just wanted to share my happiness for still having my second place on the leaderboard. This will reward me with 10k WOOBUCKS and an epic wrestler nft: Chase Martin. Woobucks are the 'intern currency' of woo, like you have Splinterlands credits as well. Those 10k WOOBUCKS are worth a whopping $100, which is totally awesome!
What is WOO?
WOO, aka Wrestling Organization Online is an upcoming play2earn game on the Hive blockchain about wrestling. They aim to bring back territory wrestling, where the wrestlers are tradeable nft's. The launch for the game is aimed to be in Q3 of 2023. To be able to launch, they already sold out 60k WOOalpha packs through various sales through 2022. Their WOOAlpha general sale sold out in 99seconds! Besides the wrestlers and managers which could been found in the card packs, they also need cities (often called land plots, but in WOO, we talk about cities). I should search for the post but they have already helped Perry Saturn paying of his house debt or his taxes on his house, forgot what it was exactly. Anyways, it's really great that we're able to help those people through such a project! :D
Oh that is awesome then! Perry Saturn right enough rings a bell, I think I read about that somewhere.
This seems like it has a lot of great potential. will be looking more into this.
