Mikey Whipwreck

Hello everyone, the last days a couple of new WOO partnerships were announced. I already wrote about the new partnership with Tajiri, but there is also the partnership with Mikey Whipwreck as you can read in this official announcement. As you can read Mikey has a wrestling history in the ECW.

A little bit more information about Mikey whipwreck:

Mikey Whipwreck, born John Watson, rose to prominence in the turbulent and revolutionary landscape of ECW during the 1990s. Known for his daredevil style and resilience, Mikey captured the hearts of fans with his unyielding spirit and ability to overcome the most formidable opponents.

Why important?

I think I already explained why I think it's important for WOO to have such irl links. Ofcourse it's part of their mission to help out retired wrestlers, so than you're better able to connect with them. On the other hand it gives them some kind of credibility and it could help expand their game and eventually Hive to the audiences of their partnered wrestlers. So I would say: Keep up the good work!

What is WOO?

WOO, aka Wrestling Organization Online is an upcoming play2earn game on the Hive blockchain about wrestling. They aim to bring back territory wrestling, where the wrestlers are tradeable nft's. The launch for the game is aimed to be in Q3 of 2023. To be able to launch, they already sold out 60k WOOalpha packs through various sales through 2022.
