Today I am writing an article about the WOOREWARDS pack openings I did yesterday. You may be wondering what WOOREWARDS packs are and maybe more in particular what WOO is. So, I'll first introduce you about WOO or Wrestling Organization Online which is a play2earn NFT game on the Hive blockchain in the wrestling theme. So, first a bit more about the game in general, than I'll talk about my pack openings!

What is WOO?

WOO, aka Wrestling Organization Online is an upcoming play2earn game on the Hive blockchain about wrestling. They aim to bring back territory wrestling, where the wrestlers are tradeable nft's. The public beta of the game launched on December the 13th. It's an autobattler in the theme of wrestling. There are 3 undercard events and 1 main event. Winning an undercard event gives you 1 point and winning the main event gives you 2 points, so 5 points are what we're fighting for. There are wrestler NFT's and manager NFT's which gives bonuses to the wrestlers. In the near future you'll be able to earn $WOO, just by playing the game, a real #play2earn game!

50 WOOREWARDS pack openings

First I'll talk a bit about why I wanted to open some packs. As the public beta version of the game launched last week, I wanted to start leveling some cards. As I was still lacking some NFT's to fully level them, I decided I would open some of my WOOREWARDS packs as the wrestlers I was missing were the wrestlers hidden in those packs, more in particular I was hunting for Jon Willow, which is the fastest of all wrestlers at the moment of writing.

For those of you wondering what WOOREWARDS card packs are, well, these were packs given away to everyone who bought WOOALPHA packs in the general sale of WOOALPHA, this was their biggest sale so far in the history of WOO which sold out in less than 99 seconds now about 1 year ago. Achieving the milestone of delivering a public beta version of the game is defintely a big milestone as WOO recently celebrated its 2 years anniversary.

What's inside the WOOREWARDS packs you may be wondering? Well, there are some legendary wrestlers inside: Jon Willow, Bevin brothers and Lexi Lawless. You also have the chanche to pull a legendary manager: Pizza Baron. For those of you who know the HivePizza community of @hive.pizza , he should be quite familiar ;) Besides those legendaries, you could also earn an NFT of the original WOO staff team. These will be used to upgrade your cities (read land, for those familiar with Splinterlands). All of these NFT's could be Silver Belt or Gold Belt where Gold Belts are really rare, way more rare compared to Splinterlands.

But now off to the pack openings, here are my 10 first:

As you can see I was really lucky. Had a Gold Belt staff card and 3 Jon Willows, which was probably my best pull I ever had of 10 WOOREWARDS packs so far!

This opening was quite fine as I managed to get a Pizza Baron and 2 Jon Willows and 2 Bevin Brothers. For now the manager and than the wrestlers are worth more compared to the staff NFT's as long as land isn't completely functional (read: giving rewards). Though @wrestorgonline told us we should expect earnings before the start of the new year, so that's not too far away if you would ask me!

This opening was rather 'mehh'. BUT I want to say one more thing about the WOO staff NFT's, now they are worth less compared to the wrestlers / manager as I already told you guys. But I have some feeling they will have their value once we will be actively being able to use them!

Another opening which is quite fine, as I got a decent amount of legendary wrestlers! I know have enough Jon Willow's to upgrade my John Willow to the max level but as I now don't have a round number of WOOREWARDS packs, I decide to open 10 more:

In hindsight, I should have stopped, but yea, my fingers are always itching when it's about opening packs! It would have been even better to stop after my first 10 packs but yea, only the future knows what it will bring and it's easily spoken when it's history...

Conclusion

I can't stress enough how happy I am that the WOO public game is launched. As the rewards should be available before the start of the New Year, now is a good time to get familar with the game, its cards and its rules. So, I truely hope to see all of you soon in the wrestling ring!
