My first encounter with Lux Vega!

Here is a round by round account of my first battle against the new neutral summoner Lux Vega!

As you can see I have gone for a magic team using Obsidian and my opponent has used the neutral summoner Lux Vega with the water splinter. When I saw this lineup I assumed I would lose this match as water is speedy anyway added with the +1 speed of Lux I thought I would take too much damage before I even get any attacks in.

Round 1:

By the end of the first round I had already lost my guarding monster at the back and taken significant damage to my Unicorn Mustang. I had done a good amount of damage to their Diemonshark but I knew they had River Hellondale with resurrect. At this point I felt that my fears during the lineup were coming true and I was still on course to lose the match.

Round 2:

At this point my team had been obliterated. I had managed to take out the Diemonshark and done serious damage to their Tide Biter but having lost 50% of my team I felt there was no way I could come back and claim the win.

Round 3:

I was happier at this point that I had put up a good fight and didn't let the opponent completely trounce me. I had managed to reduce their team down to 3 monsters so it was a 3v3 battle now. They had managed to poison my Queen Mycelia so I knew she only had 1 round left in her so again I felt I was still heading towards a loss.

Round 4:

I had lost Queen Mycelia now which I had known was coming but I had managed to kill their Uraeus so it was down to 2v2. However I had now realised that my Goblin was able to heal himself by the same amount of damage that he was taking from the Pelacor Bandit and as the opponents Hardy Stonefish couldn't attack in that position I knew that I was now on course to win this match.

I was able to take out the Pelacor Bandit and my Goblin healed himself so all that was left to do was kill off the Stonefish and claim a hard fought but incredibly satisfying victory.

It was interesting to see Lux Vega on the battlefield for the first time and I think I would have gone for a similar tactic as the opponent and used the Water splinter to try to win by blitzing the opposition in the first round or two. I was lucky to survive those rounds and thankfully the Goblins healing ability was what saved the day for me.
