I'm back to playing Splinterlands! - My assets analisys and future strategy + Looking for advices

I just got back to Hive. At the beginning in 2019 I discovered this beautiful blockchain thanks to Splinterlands and now, again thanks to Splinterlands, I return to it.
I'm getting a little bored of the games I usually play. They don't entertain me much and just waste my time. At least with play2earn games I can earn something (symbolically, rather than financially) and give greater value to my time spent playing.

I have always appreciated Splinterlands for some of its features:

• The game is simple in its mechanics, but difficult to master;
• Matches are quick;
• Can be played on mobile (although there are many improvements to be made);
• It is built on the Hive Blockchain, which has no transaction costs and is fast and well decentralized;
• It has a work team that has been able to keep the project going over the years, making it sustainable while others have had difficulties or foundered;

I therefore decided to start playing again, respecting my time and aiming for fun, rather than profit.
In fact, I have learned in recent months that you need to give greater quality to your time. Hive and the blockchain make me relive the pleasure of when the internet was a frontier land, where few people moved on the network and everything was new. But now I'm older and aware that I'm in a new phase of my life, where I want to do things that I like and enjoy.

The starting point for returning to actively playing Splinterlands is to check which assets I have.

My assets

My first and largest asset that I have in play are my staked SPS tokens. I currently have 9775. I obtained them mostly thanks to the initial airdrop or as a staking reward. I recently discovered that you can now delegate them temporarily to other players in exchange for DEC. I tried for a week to delegate 9,600 SPS at 0.004 DEC/day each, bringing home around 260 DEC. However, if I want to start playing actively again, I think I'll need them to get more rewards, so I won't delegate them anymore.

Along with SPS I also own DEC and VOUCHER tokens.
I have 179,670 VOUCHERS. I receive the VOUCHER token as a reward for my staked SPS and I can use them to get a discount on the purchase of card packs when they are on sale. I currently have no packs to purchase so I put them in a SWAP.HIVE:VOUCHER pool on Tribaldex.

I also own 1375,462 DEC. The DEC token is a token pegged to the value of the dollar, where 1,000DEC = $1. You can use them to buy cards, rent them, or trade them on the market. Not having many and still wanting to keep them, I decided to also put these in a SWAP.HIVE:DEC pool on Tribaldex.

Changing the type of asset, let's move on to packs. Specifically, I have the Chaos Legion and Nightmare packs.

I have 2 Chaos Legion Packs. Years ago I bought ten packs. I opened eight as soon as I had enough potions to open them all. I have 2 left and for the moment, also given the low value of the cards from the Chaos Legion expansion, I decided to keep them like this.

I also have 12 Nightmare Packs. They are the packs of the tower defense game inspired by Splinterlands. I purchased them because owning them would guarantee an airdrop of SPS tokens for the next five years. I believe it's been a little over a year since their release and so they will be providing SPS for a long time to come. I'm keeping track of how much SPS they give me in a week to see if they will ideally pay off in the long run.

We finally get to the cards. Spinterlands is a card game and therefore these are the main asset of every user of the game. However, I have never been a great player. For a period of time I had a deck borrowed from another user with whom we shared rewards, but my winnings were few and far between.
I therefore accumulated only 111 cards for a total Card Power of 1,785. They are mostly Rewards or Chaos Legion cards. I have only one golden card, Gargoya Lion, and only one legendary card, Djinn Bilijka.

I consider myself a small fish, with few assets at my disposal, but better than having none. I therefore have to understand how best to move to start playing again. It's always useful to make a little action plan, keeping in mind that the main thing is to have fun.

What I will do

1- First of all, I will check when the next season will end, to understand when the time will be when I will start playing again;
2- I will look for a deck to rent to play. The ideal would be a deck that has a reasonable rental cost and allows me to add the Silver league quite easily. In this league my staked SPS allow me to provide me with a decent multiplier, without having to resort to proxies. I think it might be fine to start with;
3- I will no longer delegate my SPS and I will liquidate the DEC Pool on Tribaldex in order to have DECs with which to rent the deck;
4- I will start playing again, hoping to have fun, maybe win and, why not, earn something;

Do you have any advice?

I am, in fact, a novice player. I lack experience and this means that some of the assessments I have made are wrong or inaccurate. Then there is a question that I don't know the answer to, so if you have any advice, you are welcome:

WILD or MODERN?
I don't know which format is best to start with. If I understand correctly, in the Modern format there are no bots and I prefer this. I consider bots to be the worst threat to this game. A bot-free Splinterlands is a better Splinterlands.

Torno a giocare a Splinterlands - Analisi del miei assets e strategia futura + Cerco consigli

Sono appena tornato su Hive. All'inizio nel 2019 ho scoperto questa bella blockchain grazie a Splinterlands e ora, sempre grazie a Splinterlands, ci ritorno.
Mi sono un po' stufato dei giochi a cui gioco di solito. Mi divertono poco e mi fanno solo sprecare tempo. Almeno con i giochi play2earn posso guadagnare qualcosa (simbolicamente, più che economicamente) e dare maggior valore al mio tempo speso giocando.

Ho sempre apprezzato Splinterlands per alcune sue caratteristiche:

• Il gioco è semplice nelle sue meccaniche, ma difficile da padroneggiare;
• Le partite sono rapide;
• Può essere giocato su mobile (seppur ci siano molti miglioramenti da fare);
• E' costruito sulla Blockchain Hive, che non ha costi di transazione ed è veloce e ben decentralizzata;
• Ha un team di lavoro che negli anni ha saputo tenere in piedi il progetto, rendendolo sostenibile mentre altri hannoa vuto difficoltà o sono naufragati;

Ho quindi deciso di ricominciare a giocare, rispettando i miei tempi e puntando al divertimento, più che al guadagno.
Ho infatti imparato in questi mesi che bisogna dare maggiore qualità al proprio tempo. Hive e la blockchain mi fanno rivivere il piacere di quando internet era una terra di frontiera, in cui a muoverci sulla rete eravamo pochi ed era tutto nuovo. Ora però sono più grande e consapevole di essere in una fse nuova della mia vita, dove voglio fare cose che mi piacciono e divertono.

Il punto di partenza per tornare a giocare attivamente a Splinterlands è verificare quali sono gli asset in mio possesso.

I miei assets

Il mio primo e più consistente asset che ho in gioco sono i miei token SPS in stake. Al momento ne ho 9775. Li ho ottenuti in buona parte grazie all'airdrop iniziale o come ricompensa dello staking. Ho scoperto di recente che ora si possono delegare temporaneamente ad altri giocatori in cambio di DEC. Ho provato per una settimana a delegarne 9.600 SPS a 0,004 DEC/gg l'uno, portando a casa circa 260 DEC. Tuttavia, se voglio riprendere a giocare attivamente, credo mi serviranno per ottenere maggiori ricompense, quindi non li delegherò più.

Insieme agli SPS possiedo anche i token DEC e VOUCHER.

Possiedo inoltre 1375,462 DEC. Il token DEC è un token ancorato al valore del dollaro, dove 1.000DEC = 1$. Si possono usare per comprare carte, noleggiarle, o scambiarli sul mercato. Non avendone molti e volendoli comunque mantenere, ho deciso di mettere anche questi in una pool SWAP.HIVE:DEC su Tribaldex.

Cambiando tipo di asset, passiamo ai pack. Nello specifico ho dei pack Chaos Legion e Nightmare.

Ho 2 pack Chaos Legion Pack. Anni fa comprai dieci pacchi. Ne aprii otto appena ebbi pozioni sufficienti per aprirli tutti. Me ne sono rimaste 2 e per il momento, visto anche lo scarso valore delle carte della espansione Chaos Legion, ho deciso di tenerli così.

Ho anche 12 Nightmare Pack. Sono i pacchi del gioco tower defense ispirato a Splinterlands. Li acquistai perchè il loro possesso avrebbe garantito un airdrop di token SPS per i successivi cinque anni. Credo sia passato poco più di un anno dal loro rilascio e quindi forniranno SPS ancora per molto tempo. Sto tenendo monitorato quanti SPS mi danno in una settimana per capire se idealmente si ripagheranno sul lungo periodo.

Arriviamo finalmente alle carte. Spinterlands è un gioco di carte e quindi queste sono l'asset principale di ogni utente del gioco. Tuttavia, io non sono mai stato un grande giocatore. Per un periodo di tempo ho avuto un mazzo prestato da un altro utente con cui condividevamo le rewards, ma le mie vincite erano poche e scarse.
Ho accumulato, quindi, solo 111 carte per un Card Power complessivo di 1.785. Sono per lo più carte Rewards o Chaos Legion. Ho una sola carta dorata, Gargoya Lion, e una sola carta leggendaria, Djinn Bilijka.

Mi considero un piccolo pesce, con pochi assets a sua disposizione, ma meglio che non averne nessuno. Devo quindi capire come è meglio muovermi per ricominciare a giocare. Farmi un piccolo piano d'azione è sempre utile tenendo bene a mente che la cosa principale è divertirmi.

Cosa farò

1- Per prima cosa, verificherò quando finirà la prossima season, per capire quando sarà il momento in cui ricomincerò a giocare;
2- Cercherò un mazzo da noleggiare per giocare. L'ideale sarebbe un mazzo che abbia un costo di noleggio ragionevole e mi permetta dir aggiungere abbastanza tranquillamente la lega Argento. In questa lega i miei SPS in stake permettono di fornirmi un moltiplicatore decente, senza dover ricorrere a deleghe. Penso che per iniziare possa andare bene;
3- Non darò più in delega i miei SPS e liquiderò la Pool di DEC su Tribaldex per poter avere dei DEC con cui affittare il mazzo;
4- Riprenderò a giocare, sperando di divertirmi, magari vincere e, perchè no, guadaganare qualcosa;

Avete consigli?

Sono, di fatto, un giocatore alle prime armi. Mi manca l'eperienza e questo significa che alcune delle valutazioni che ho fatto sono sbagliate o inesatte. C'è poi un dubbio a cui non so rispondere per cui, se avete consigli, siete i benvenuti:

WILD o MODERN?
Non so quale formato sia meglio per cominciare. Se ho capito bene, nel formato Modern non ci sono Bot e questo lo preferisco. Ritengo i bot la minaccia peggiore per questo gioco. Uno Splinterlands libero da bot è uno Splinterlands migliore.
