La carta: Prismologist

Prismologist è una carta da attacco a distanza con delle caratteristiche notevoli. Quattro punti vita e due punti armatura, tre punti da attacco a distanza e due di velocità. Inoltre parte con l'abilità Blast che quando copisce il bersaglio fa si che danneggi anche i nemici vicini. Insomma, mica male! Tutto ciò però ha un prezzo, cioè il suo elevato costo in mana, che la porta a costare la bellezza di 8 mana. Un prezzo decisamente elevato che porta questa carta ad essere una risorsa solo quando le condizioni di battaglia concedono tanto mana.
Valutazione
Il prezzo di vendita attuale della carta base (CL - Liv.1) si assesta intorno ai 0.830$. Il valore non è stato stabilissimo nelle ultime quattro settimane, con il prezzo che temporaneamente è arrivato anche a dimezzarsi.
Ho potuto saggiare la carta qualche volta, quando le condizioni della battaglia lo concedevano e devo dire che si è sempre comportata bene. Come ogni carta ranged, soffre il fatto che, a scanso di altri fattori, se arriva in prima posizione, perde ogni forma di attacco, ma se infilata in fondo al roster, grazie anche ai due punti di armor ha tempo e modo di fare bene il proprio dovere.
La Battaglia
La battaglia in esame è stata combattuta contro CINDYROACH546. Il limite era di 52 mana con le condizioni di Earthquake e Melee Mayheme. Di solito la mia strategia parte dal scegliere carte con volare e l'elemento Vita è quello dove ne ho qualcuna di più. Con molto mana a disposizione avrei potuto anche schierare qualcosa d'altro con un po' di vita e armatura. Grandmaster Rathe è stata la mia scelta come summoner. E' il summoner più forte che ho per l'elemento vita e avrebbe buffato ulteriormente i miei mostri. Ho poi schierato quattro mostri con volare di una certa caratura e in chiusura ho puntato sul nostro Prismologist e Time Meddler. Speravo durassero qualche round in modo da poter fare qualche danno.
L'avversario ha invece puntato sull'elemento Terra con Obsidian come summoner e una pletora di mostri con tanta vita, anche se non tutti von volare. Avrebbero resistito, si, ma fino a quando? Ero abbastanza sicuro di farcela a vincere, ma invece è stata una sconfitta.
L'avversario è riuscito molto bene a mitigare i miei danni e a farne a sua volta. Non è stata una disfatta, anche se ho perso, e non credo avrei potuto fare di meglio di così con le carte che ho.
Il mio giudizio su Prismologist
Per una volta, forse, trovo il disegno troppo in stile cartoon anche se allineato con altri del gioco. La carta è potente, anche se costosa, limitando il suo uso alle battaglie con molto mana a disposizione. Sarei curioso di sapere la lore di questo personaggio quale sia, ma sospetto che presto il team di Splinterlands ce lo farà sapere.

Prismologist is a ranged attack card with some notable features. Four life points and two armor points, three ranged attack points and two speed points. It also starts with the Blast ability that when it hits the target causes it to damage nearby enemies as well. All in all, not bad! However, all this has a price, that is, its high cost in mana, which leads it to cost the beauty of 8 mana. A decidedly high price that leads this card to be a resource only when the battle conditions grant a lot of mana.
Assessment
The current selling price of the base card (CL - Lv.1) is around $0.830. The value has not been very stable in the last four weeks, with the price temporarily even halving.
I was able to test the card a few times, when the conditions of the battle allowed it and I must say that it has always performed well. Like any ranged card, it suffers from the fact that, barring other factors, if it gets in first position, it loses all forms of attack, but if it is placed at the bottom of the roster, thanks also to the two points of armor, it has the time and the way to do well one's duty
The Battle
The battle under consideration was fought against CINDYROACH546. The cap was 52 mana with the Earthquake and Melee Mayheme conditions. Usually my strategy starts with choosing cards with flying and the Life element is where I have the most. With a lot of mana at my disposal I could also set up something else with a little health and armor. Grandmaster Rathe was my choice as summoner. He's the strongest summoner I have for the life element and would buff my monsters further. I then deployed four monsters with flying of a certain caliber and in closing I bet on our Prismologist and Time Meddler. I was hoping they lasted a few rounds so I could do some damage.
Instead, the opponent has focused on the Earth element with Obsidian as a summoner and a plethora of monsters with lots of life, even if not all of them fly. They would have resisted, yes, but until when? I was pretty sure I was going to win, but instead it was a loss.
The opponent managed very well to mitigate my damage and do it in turn. It wasn't a rout, even though I lost, and I don't think I could have done better than that with the cards I have.
My verdict on Prismologist
For once, perhaps, I find the design too cartoon-style even if aligned with others in the game. The card is powerful, if expensive, limiting its use to battles with a lot of available mana. I'd be curious to know what this character's lore is, but I suspect the Splinterlands team will let us know soon.
