As I open about 15 Gladius packs, I find myself wondering: is it really important to belong to a guild? Personal opinion

Why Joining a Guild in Splinterlands Changed My Experience Completely

When I first started playing Splinterlands, I thought the game was only about collecting cards, winning battles, and trying to climb the leagues. At the beginning, I played mostly alone and focused only on improving my deck little by little. But after spending more time inside the game, I realized that one of the most important parts of the entire ecosystem is joining a Guild.

Honestly, joining a Guild completely changed my experience in Splinterlands.

A Guild is much more than just a group of players. It becomes a community where everyone helps each other grow, share strategies, and participate together in one of the most exciting features of the game: Guild Brawls.

Before joining a Guild, I did not fully understand how important Brawls were. These battles between guilds allow players to earn rewards like SPS and Merits. The interesting part is that Merits can be used to buy Gladius Cases, which contain some of the most powerful cards in the game.

That was one of the moments where I understood why veteran players always recommend joining an active Guild.

Gladius cards are extremely strong because many of them have the Bloodlust ability. Every time they eliminate an enemy, all their stats increase, making them even more dangerous during battle. Some matches can completely change because of a single Gladius card.

Another thing I noticed after joining a Guild was how much faster I started learning the game.

Splinterlands has many mechanics that can feel difficult for new players:

  • Battle rules

  • Card positioning

  • Abilities

  • Speed mechanics

  • Team synergies

  • Economy strategies

Trying to understand everything alone can be overwhelming. But inside a Guild, experienced players are always sharing advice, strategies, and recommendations. That support helped me improve much faster than when I was playing alone.

I also discovered that the social aspect makes the game much more enjoyable.

Instead of simply logging in to play ranked battles every day, now there is a sense of teamwork and motivation. Players prepare for Brawls together, discuss strategies, and celebrate victories as a group. It makes the entire experience feel more alive and less repetitive.

Guild buildings are another important part of the system. As members contribute and upgrade buildings, the entire Guild receives bonuses and advantages. This creates a strong feeling of collaboration because everyone works together to improve the Guild over time.

In my opinion, joining a Guild is almost essential if someone truly wants to experience everything Splinterlands has to offer.

It is not only about earning better rewards or getting stronger cards. It is also about learning faster, meeting other players, becoming part of a community, and enjoying the game in a completely different way.

Playing alone can still be fun, but after joining a good Guild, I honestly feel that Splinterlands became a much deeper and more exciting experience.
