Battle Analysis and Tips:

  • We both had the same team but luckily my summoner reduced his speed which game me an advantage.
  • Use high-attack melee units. Since magic units are not allowed in this ruleset, melee units will be the most powerful. Look for units with high attack and health.
  • Use abilities to your advantage. There are a number of abilities that can be very helpful in the Odd Ones Out ruleset. For example, the Thorns ability can reflect damage back to the attacker, and the Demoralize ability can reduce the attack power of the enemy.
  • Be mindful of speed. The speed stats is mostly lower speeds in the Odd Ones Out ruleset. This means that you need to be careful about how you position your units.
  • Avoid using Slow. The Slow ability can actually hurt you in the Odd Ones Out ruleset, since it will increase the attack power of the enemy.
  • Make sure you understand the Odd Ones Out ruleset thoroughly. Only Odd one monster from each team will be allowed in the battle. You need to choose your team with this in mind.
  • Since only odd mana monster from your team will participate, it's important to have a well-balanced team. You might want to include tanks, damage dealers, healers, and support monsters in your lineup to increase your chances of having a useful monster in battle.
  • Pay attention to the special abilities of your monsters. Some monsters have abilities that can be very effective even if they aren't your selected fighter. For example, monsters with healing or buffing abilities can still provide support to your chosen fighter.
  • Consider the synergy between your monsters. Some monsters work well together and can complement each other's abilities. Combining monsters with complementary abilities can give you an advantage like inspire, strengthen.
  • Having a tanky monster as part of your lineup can be beneficial, as they can soak up damage while your selected fighter does the damage. High health and armor stats are valuable in this case.
  • Monsters that can inflict status effects like stun, poison, or enrage can be valuable even if they aren't the selected fighter. These effects can disrupt your opponent's strategy and give you an edge.
  • Before the battle starts, analyze your opponent's team and try to predict which monster they will select. This can help you make a more informed decision about which monster to put in the first position on your team.
  • Be prepared to adapt your strategy based on which monster your opponent selects. Sometimes it's best to go for a direct counter if you can predict their choice.
