Hello Splinterfamily,

• I believe that the Holy Protection ruleset is a very challenging one, but it can also be very rewarding. It requires players to be very strategic and to use their monsters' abilities in a coordinated way. I found that it was important to have a team that was well-rounded, with monsters that could deal damage, heal, and provide support.
• One of the challenges that I encountered was that the Holy Protection ruleset limits the number of debuffs that can be applied to monsters. This means that players need to be very careful about how they use their debuffing abilities. I found that it was helpful to have monsters with abilities that could apply multiple debuffs, or that could debuff monsters for a long period of time.
• Another challenge that I encountered was that the Holy Protection ruleset makes it difficult to kill monsters. This is because monsters are healed for a percentage of their health every turn. I found that it was important to focus on dealing damage to the enemy team's healer, or to use abilities that could prevent monsters from being healed.

Description:

All units gain the Divine Shield ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0.

Divine Shield will be re-applied when a unit is Resurrected.

Blast damage will remove Divine Shield.

Battle Analysis and Tips:

• Use monsters with multiple attacks. Since the Divine Shield ability only negates the first attack, monsters with multiple attacks can get around this and still deal damage. Some good examples of these monsters include double strike.
• Use monsters with counterattack abilities. These monsters can deal damage to their attackers when they are hit, which can help to break through their Divine Shield. Some good examples of these monsters include thorns, return fire, and magic reflect.
• Use monsters that inflict Poison. Poison damage ignores the Divine Shield ability, so using monsters that can inflict Poison can be a great way to deal damage over time.
• Use summoners that buff your monsters. There are a number of summoners that can buff your monsters in the Holy Protection ruleset. Some good examples of these summoners include Mylor Crowling, Ilthain, and Owster Rotwell.
• Be aware of blast damage. Blast damage can bypass the Divine Shield ability, so it is important to be aware of this when positioning your monsters.
