I agree to letting the day unfold gradually because sometimes we lost control if we are over eager.
Productivity comes in different ways, especially with time management. I will literally focus on the most important through the scale of preference.

Your idea of using the day as it unfolds sounds quite well, but most times, not planning it would make the day unproductive or unless you just decide to be lazy on such day.

Truly right @cypher09 . I take it one step at a time because some plans sometimes don’t work out due to unforeseen circumstances.
