#57 Corrupted Pegasus - Splinterlands Art Contest (ENG/ DE)

Hello dear Hive Alien Art Crew, Hive Community and Splinterlands Fans,

I wish everyone a wonderful new splinterlands Art Contest week. I look forward to seeing great creations from other artists every week and it is always an honor, challenge and pleasure to participate.

The weekly event is also a wonderful motivation and inspiration to keep practicing and improving your personal drawing and skills.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire Hive Splinterlands team for all their effort, support, diversity and general dedication to the Splinterlands community. This takes a lot of time and discipline, which cannot be taken for granted or expected, so thank you for all your efforts.

This week I wanted to draw a seemingly animalistic villain. 😅

The "corrupted Pegasus" already sounded interesting from the name. Normally we all know these fantasy creatures as rather lovable, shy and benevolent. But an angry black one that looks like trouble is a rarity.

I thought of the old Hollywood mafiosi movies, but I didn't want to create a mafia Pegasus, because it might be too exaggerated. I decided to go for a cool and hip style that shows a daredevil Pegasus. I hope you like it.

Ich wünsche allen eine schöne, neue splinterlands Art Contest Woche. Ich freu mich jede Woche auf tolle Kreationen anderer Künstler und es ist jedesmal eine Ehre, Herausforderung und Vergnügen dran teilzunehmen.

Ebenso ist das wöchentliche Event eine wunderbare Motivation und Inspiration fleißig das persönliche Zeichen und die Fähigkeiten zu trainieren und zu verbessern.

Ich möchte an dieser Stelle einmal dem ganzen Hive Splinterlands Team danken für die ganze Mühe, Support, Vielfalt und generellen Einsatz für die Splinterlands Gemeinde. So was kostet viel Zeit und auch Disziplin, was nicht selbstverständlich zu geben oder zu erwarten ist, daher habt dank für all eure Mühen.

Diese Woche wollte ich mal einen scheinbaren tierischen Bösewicht zeichnen. 😅

Das "corrupted Pegasus" klang vom Namen her schon interessant. Normalerweise kennen wir alle diese Fantasie Geschöpfe als eher liebenswert, scheu und wohlwollend. Doch ein wütend schwarzes, welches nach Ärger aussieht ist eine Rarität.

Ich hatte an die alten Mafiosi Hollywood Filme denken müssen, doch wollte nicht gleich ein Mafia Pegasus kreieren, da es eventuell zu übertrieben wäre. Ich entschied mich für einen coolen und hippen Stil, welcher einen draufgängerischen Pegasus zeigt. Ich hoffe es gefällt euch.

I show up clear steps today (I think)

First the sketch and lines.
Blacked the background like always or mostly.
After I started simple shading.
Later on some first coloring.

I had the idea so add the splinterlands symbol on the forehead of the Pegasus, just for fun.

One step before I corrected the outlines so that they get nearly "unvisible". Added some light effects for the one sunglass, fine tuned the smoke of the cigarette.

What you think? Cool and grumpy enough this variation? 😅😎

To translate some of my german native words I used deepl.com. After I edited and corrected some parts because deepl.com couldn't translate all slang words perfectly. Just wanted to make this clear too.
