Share Your Battle w/ Pirate Captain
I have been playing this game casually since it came out a few years ago, but it has only been recently that I've begun trying to get serious about it. I am beginning to learn a little bit more about the importance of leveling up cards, understanding their abilities, and placing them properly on the battlefield.
One card that I have recently sort of "discovered" is the Pirate Captain. I really enjoy the magic play with Arlic giving that +1 buff and then following with Djinn Oshannus and Ruler of the Seas. With those two cards costing so much mana, I usually end up needing to fill out the rest of my roster with low mana cards, and Pirate Captain fits that bill.
The Pirate Captain card that I play is a level 2 Beta Edition card. With its 3 BCX, it is currently worth about $4.87 US according to Splinterlands.
In my opinion, this is a bargain for what you get on the battlefield. Like I said, I am just now beginning to understand a little bit of the strategy behind this game. There are a few abilities that seem pretty weak to the beginning player; however, once you get into the game, you realize that they are vital to the game. For me, Snipe was one such ability. For Monsters with snipe, the first priority is to attack the first ranged or magic monster that is *not in the first position. While this doesn't seem like a big deal for beginners like me, it plays heavily into the strategy of experienced players. And, when I'm searching for that low mana card to plug in with Oshannus and Ruler of the Seas, he has become a go to.
In this featured match, my Pirate Captain shows why he is such an important part of the arsenal by collecting 2 kills. He is especially effective when accompanying Ruler of the Seas with his Blast ability.
