Quick Notes On New Reward Cards

Finally there are some new cards for players to speculate and try out in ranked play. Since the chaos legion reward cards are in price discovery mode, there is opportunity to snag some gems. Some current cards may even be phased out in value due the the new cards taking out their competiveness. One card I noticed is Venari Crystalsmith, which is a tank healer that already does range damage at level 1.

Crystalsmith could replace Divine Healer in the Bronze league especially since it does damage without leveling up. It could even double tank heal if paired with Divine Healer. Although it does range damage and can't fight in the first position, it can bypass all the Mylor Crowling + Unicorn Mustang combos. The range is protected from thorn damage and doesn't get blocked by magic resist/reflect that is common in earth decks.

I think Venari Crystalsmith will have some great utility in the bronze league for new players to counter an expensive Mylor Crowling deck. It will be certainly be something to watch out for too when Jacekw releases the stats on top cards played in each league. The small set of chaos legion reward cards is hinting at some strong counters to come in the full edition release.
