Theme: Ant Miners

Greeting my frineds and rival, and welcome to my weekly "Share Your Battle" post.

Ant miners is one of the cards I loved from the first moment (I also bought gold foild one, it still go grab it!).

Ant Miners Strength and Weakness

strength points:

  • Very cheap card. make its usefull in alot of low mana battle.
  • The scavenger ability is a great ability that turn even the most weak monster into a dangerous one.
  • Nice synergy with Malric Inferno (+1 melee attack).

weakness points:

  • Due to the low starting HP, it can not be placed in the front line and back line it may be useless most of the battle and take up space where another monster could have been put.
  • For the same reason, this monster is prone to attacks by monsters with opportunity ability.

Preparing for battle

Battle rulesets:

Points I took into account when preparing for battle:

  • Low mana budget for battle.
  • The equalizer rule encourages to use a lot of cheap monsters over one powerful and expensive monster.

Points I should have considered but did not consider:

  • I didn't check the teams my opponents have placed in his previous battles. never do that! It should never happend.
  • Broken arrows rule increases the likelihood of magic attacks. I did not prepare for this option.

My strategy:

  1. Using low cost monster.
  2. Using Malric Inferno with a melee team.
  3. Puting Ant Miner in second place on the battle. So that she will have the opportunity to utilize her ability.
  4. Using Serpentine Spy for its high speed and damage. in the backline.

To Battle!

As you can see my opponent choose almost identical team for the battle. He also was the first one to draw blood. his cerberus attacked mine, Thus allowing mine to heal and attack back. The battle was decided in my favor already at this point. As you can see my ant was free to attack the opponent kobold After he killed my cerebrus:

But let me tell you that I belive that even if the orders of attacks was diffrent and I was the first one to lose the cerberus still my ant would win the koblo, due the extra hp from her ability.

conclusion and free writing

I did win this battle, mostly beacuse I was lucky. I am not talking about the way the Cerebras attacked but due to the fact that the opponent thought of the same strategy that led me. If the opponent had chosen to use the death splinter (zintar + haunted spirit) I would probably have lost.

Always remember to check the team your opponent has placed in previous battles. I forgot to do this fight, and in many ways the victory did not come to me, but I guess luck played into my hands this time.

@stylekai it was honour to fight with you! good luck!
