Hello, the beautiful people of Splinterverse. Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the recently introduced WILD and MODERN format in Splinterlands. I am also enjoying the new format with higher rewards options like more DEC in MODERN FORMAT while easier winning in WILD format for the new players like me. Today I want to introduce some strategical cheaper cards which can be very useful from many perspectives in the game such as more winning with more DEC, more R-shares, Cheaper and alternating options for many expensive cards with high renting values, and also for price appreciation in future. I hope this discussion will be very helpful for improving your Splinterlands experience.

Before discussing these cards, I want to summarize some facts which have been considered for selecting these cards to be very useful, especially for new players. And all of the discussion is for entertainment purposes, not for a financial suggestion or 100 proven strategies that have no failure. These all are based on my experience in the Gold league.

-The most important fact of the overall discussion is about the scarcity of cards is eminent in the coming future if you are thinking that there will be a flood of cards after the Chaos packs are sold but according to their data only 6k max CL cards will be after all cards are printed. You can feel how much you need to max it according to your league after entering the gold league and in diamond or champion, you can’t imagine if you are not a whale or investing tons of money!

-The DEC reward with the R-shares is directly related to the cards you are using starter cards will decrease your rewards significantly. And the Gold foiled, Alpha, Beta or Promo cards will increase your rewards significantly.
-Besides, the recent announcement, they are planning to distribute the rewards according to the card level to encourage players to buy and combine their cards and climb up to the higher league.
-There are so many cheap cards that can be used as an alternative to many expensive cards in many cases to grow decks and higher rewards with a higher winning ratio.
-Before investment, the utility of the cards should be considered to utilize them perfectly. For example, good DRAGON or NEUTRAL cards are always the best cards for overall decks.
-As the Alpha and Beta cards are always out of the new players' budget, I will concentrate on Gold foiled new cards as they are cheap and the bonus is also included while using in the battle.
-Maximum cards will be focusing on the MODERN format as the modern cards are always usable in WILD format but the WILD cards are not allowed in Modern format. That is why the modern format is nowadays very competitive with higher DEC rewards!

Now let’s dive into the selected cards according to the Splinter teams. I will choose 2-3 cards for each team and figure out the possible alternative with the expensive cards! Today I will cover the FIRE and the WATER deck strategy to chose the best cards with the crucial comparison with the PRICE and the ABILITIES.

Fire Splinters

For fire splinters, my first two cards are the TANK which is an important monster for any battle.

Here, the shield ability is the factor and the ANTOID PLATOON is an excellent choice with very cheap cost. Though the hearts is an crucial factor but with the ARMOR the PLATOON is amazing for the new players deck to upgrade it to higher level in low cost.

This comparison a little bit unequal but I mention it for the RETALIATE ability which can very devastating in many matches. And the FORGOTTEN ONE is the best at higher level with the self healing ability of the CERBERUS or the POISON ability of the SERPENT OF THE FLAME because of very low cost.

Supportive monsters

Here, I have mention DJINN INFERNI with two awesome but the most expensive cards of the fire team only from the MAGIC attack amount and the speed. Also the GIANT KILLER can be a battle winning monsters in many high MANA matches. In this prize range new players keep the DJINN INFERNI for their deck which is a good card.

The RADIATED BRUTE is an awesome monsters with REACH ability with extremely lo price compare to the FINEAS RAGE.

For SNEAK attacks, the TENYII STRIKER is over power than the old card KOBOLD MINER. New players can get tremendous benefits with this card with very low price and more amazing abilities.

The LAVA SPIDER is a great option for the SNIPE attack with cheaper cost as an alternative of the expensive FIRE BEETLE.

After these cards, you may have the most common question, why I am comparing the ALPHA CARDS with the normal cards which will have no benefits like the DEC or R-shares bonus after each battle? I will answer this question with proper explaination, before that let's see the water team now.

Water Splinters

For fire splinters, let's start with the TANK first,

For the MELEE and Range attacks-based battle, the DIEMONSHARK is an excellent choice as it is very fast and there will be many dodge which will make it survive for multiple rounds. Besides with higher levels you will get the RAGE and the RETALIATE abilities which make this card awesome!

The legendary reward card DJINN OSHANNUS is the best choice against the magic attacks with the fantastic abilities VOID and the PHASE. It can be also a great TANK against MELEE or RANGE attacks also.

The WAVE BROOD can be an alternative to the expensive TAUNT activated card the KRAKEN and also can be replaced with the SHIELD activated card FROZEN SOLDIER with very cheap cost.

PELACAR BANDIT is the best sneak attacker in water team with the high speed and the amazing FLYING ability! And the price is just juicy in the market!

For cheap TANK HEALING, the MERDAALI GUARDIAN has no alternatives with other amazing ability of ARMOR rebuild in every round.

The cheap KULU SWIMHUNTER is a great choice instead of the expensive AZMARE HARPOONIST. Though there are some abilities but compare to cost and levelling up to the max level according to the deck , KULU is the best option with so many RANGE attacks.

There is no alternative of the AXEMASTER with the amazing ability of DOUBLE STRIKE but if your budget is low, you can concentrate with the cheap DEEPLURKER with the excellent ability of OPPORTUNITY!

Now let's get the answers why I have compared with the ALPHA cards. I am mentioning this answers with further explanation in the following points.

• The alpha cards will give you 10% bonus and any gold card will also give you 10% bonus, so why you need alpha play with the gold foiled cards from reward or CL edition.
• Cost of upgradation is too high for alpha and the renting price is often can be loss with the reward ratio!
• Alpha cards can't be used in the MODERN LEAGUE but any cards can be used in the WILD FORMAT.
• New players can afford the new cards to build their decks.

Best concluding lines

• Buy the GF cards which you frequently use from the modern format with very low cost from the REWARDS or CL editions.
• Don't care about the strong WILD cards, strong modern decks can defeat any WILD decks.
• Winning ratio is very important for the REWARD maximization which is directly correlated to the DECK.
