They are easy SPS at times. You just go to the Tournaments section in-game, pick one that you qualify for and where the number of entrants is below the threshold for the final placing/payout and decide if the entry fee is worth the prize.

In that particular tournament , it was Novice level,the max lvl for all cards is 1,so your deck would have been viable and competitive there.

I didn't do particularly well, but even if I came last I would have won more than I spent on entry fee, and the bonus is that the SPS is paid out liquid, so you can decide to stake it or swap to DEC to buy cards etc.

The sweet spot for me are the Silver Wild tournaments, but I also join low lvl Gold Foil tournaments, even thought I have very few gold summoners and then only low lvl, I still make more than the entry cost.

After the Tournament starts, you have 24 hours to submit your teams for round one, if you make the cut for round two (I didn't in that one), you have another 24 hours to submit your round 2 battles, after that prizes are paid out for all.

I usually wait until close to the final entry time to decide if I enter, so I can see the number of entrants. I don't rank highly as a rule, but I make a few hundred SPS a season, which I either stake or add into the SPS:DEC LP as a kind of savings pot
