Wagon Up.

It has been weird for the last week that I have been largely disengaged from the world of Hive and crypto. This morning, I was looking at various things that I have "ignored" in the sense that I haven't been checking them all too often, like I might have otherwise. I did manage to write a post each day, and I did get to some of the comments, but I didn't get to them all yet. I also haven't been checking crypto markets, or Splinterlands, which is also strange. Not altogether bad though, as it allowed my Energy Points to replenish.

I am a Modern Champion 2 player it seems.

I just can't get into Champion 1, no matter how hard I try. I don't have a complete set of Rebellion, but it is more the RNG luck that I have that keeps killing my attempts. It is almost impossible to get a streak going, however when average luck falls my way, I tend to do okay. For instance, today has been a good day for me, as I have played 11 rounds and won 10 of them.

image.png

But it is unsustainable for me, and it will be possible that it will be loss streaks of 10 or more from here on out, losing 300 points very quickly. And it is frustrating when so many of those losses come down to luck, where it could go either way, but rarely my way. The one loss today though, I can deal with, as I was just outplayed. Oh well.

More importantly...

Not overly important in the grand scheme of life.

The first conflict rages on and there are almost no gold legendaries on the market at all, and some people have put 200K on the sale price - as if that is something someone would do. I have bought some over the last week though, and bought a couple more today. The ones I have been buying are those that allow me to max a card, and today I bought two Commander Goff cards, which cleared the market. So, after some adjustments, combining, cooldowns and resets, this is now my heaviest wagon.

image.png

Not quite full of gold, but getting there!

So with 19 days left in the first conflict, This is where my chances lay.

image.png

That is 7 guarantees, and with 308,000 chances generated in the 11 days so far, we are still on track for a ~840,000 total, which means that it is going to be around one card per 210 chances. So for this first conflict, the expectation is around about doubling the guarantee. With the boost I gave with some golds today, I am guessing I will get about 20+20, which is enough for 3 max cards and if lucky, one max Gold Foil. That would be 52,500 + 18,000 CP, to add an extra 70,500 CP to my wagons for conflict 2.

That is almost 700,000 collection points/hr

Of course, this is all relative in terms of chances, because what it means is that there will be far more collection points vying for 4000 cards next round, which will decrease the chance of getting cards in the lottery, but the guarantees will be the same, afaik. This is an incentive to buy cards or packs of course, and that is the way it should be. I feel that this is a better approach than just airdropping atop airdrop, atop airdrop - as it essentially forces "old timers" who have benefitted very heavily in the past, to put some more into the game to keep benefitting, if they want these specialty cards at least. It also gives those who were lucky enough to get some gold legendaries, to benefit heavily in their sale. And, gold epics are expensive too.

I have no idea if in the longrun it will be worth it, but I do think that there is a chance that at least I will cover the value of what I have bought in extras, over the space of the 9 conflicts in total. We will see in time.

Wagon Up.

I guess I am gold wild player( when I am lucky). I start in silver and it takes a few days to even get to gold 3. life is a struggle... I feel relieved when I finally reach gold league.

I start in diamond, and then have to work through the pack. Not the end of the world though - as at least there are the same abilities.

I think the reason why you might have not been too active like before is maybe because you are too busy with other things or you just took a break unknowingly because this happens to everyone

It is getting harder to rank up for sure. Has me thinking about just focusing on land but I have come to enjoy the game play for its strategy. Who knows what lies ahead...

How are you doing in Wild? I am guessing it is a bit easier considering your collection there - especially since bots are allowed. I have never been a fan of bots - I don't see it as gaming.

Very little wild for me! I don't stand a chance against most of the bots so I mostly play Modern. I moved all of my non-modern cards to land at the moment. Crazy thing is that I still need more cards for land as I an only now approaching about 30% of my land being active.

We can't be same all the time. Change is better I think but not in down way. Always look forward never in backward direction

I haven't even checked my chances lately. I know it is probably so low I am not even sure it is worth it. I didn't have the capital to go into Rebellion as heavy as I did some of the other sets. I kind of wish I had played that differently now.

I think a few are regretting it in some way. Some have got in late as well. It is hard though, as capital is in short supply, especially with the current markets.

I imagine every copy of the Regular Foil and Gold Foil of the new Rage card will end up in Mage Wagons as well... which means the accounts at the top (who get more Rage cards) will continue to further outpace everyone else for each subsequent conflict. I also imagine there is going to be a huge selloff of Gold Foil cards after the last conflict... but I agree this is a significantly better system than the previous airdrop based on sales approach.

At least this time, they likely had to put in a bit more value, rather than just trade on what they have gathered earlier.

You are right up there!

Very likely. This is also why buying them early isn't as bad, but getting them late (if at a high price) will end up costing.

Champion 2 is already plenty good, and considering you don't have max Rebellion, makes it even more impressive. I do agree that this airdrop might be better overall for the game, and the card value, even though it is mostly geared towards whales.

My rebellion is close to max - but I haven't bitten the bullet and maxed it yet. one day!

It is geared toward whales, but these are also the bonus cards. It is a high price to pay for them.

Yeah I agree. Spending money to get these bonus cards makes sense. The company needs players to spend to pay the bills.

Splinterlands rush towards the end is crazy. I was able to get some good wins early on and advanced a few days early. So I was able to reach Gold II for the first time in a long while but I stopped fighting on the last day to stay there. I can't imagine trying to get to Diamond.

I get slaughtered at the end. The problem is, I only have one or maybe two periods in a season that I can get a decent run. The rest of the time, I get knocked back heavily by "luck".

Wow nice work there! I think I am probably just settle with buying the card off the market if it turns out to be strong and fits my playing strategy.
