Ethereum Classic (ETC) Twitter Account Suspended, Cardano Founder Reacts
Following the recent tweet made by Bob summerwill on Twitter, reveals that Ethereum classic's official Twitter account has been suspended.
Summerwill came out to accused Twitter of not pre- informing them before closing the account. Following this news that rose up, he denied that the platform don't make any controversial posts.
The founder of cardano Charles Hoskinson, tweet saying, ''This just crossed my desk a few minutes ago. Did the @eth_classic Twitter handle seriously just get suspended?. So after all this drama, the user would have been list regardless''.
A user took to Twitter to replied in the comment section saying, ETC has complained to Twitter customer support.
But Hoskinson jokingly replied '' I am sure they will come up with 70 - paragraph email.
Hoskinson conflict with the ETC community
According to Hoskinson, the official Twitter account belonged to him and he has not intention of sell or handing over the account to the Ethereum classic community. Before the account was supended, it had over 600,000 followers.
Summerwill said, trouble started after Ethereum classic co-operative withdrew it support for input output Hong Kong's 20% in protocol treasury fee, which made the cardano team , prompting Hoskinson to cede control of ETC Twitter account.
Hoskinson modified the account to Ergo's official page
Summerwill accused Hoskinson of changing the classic Twitter to a new and different account. Hoskinson change the account from Ethereum classic to popular Proof - of - work (PoW) network Ergo (ERG) which is similar to Ethereum pre-merge Blockchain. The account posts were all about Ethereum classic before it was supended.
A member of the team of ETC community confronted Hoskinson to ascertain if he would return the account to the Ethereum classic.
We are yet to get an update about the Twitter account, if it will be restore or if Hoskinson will hand it over to the ETC community. We hope that the Twitter account will be restore soon
