Hey guys how are you all? I hope you are all doing great. Today I’m back with another Splinterlands post and this time I’m going to talk about a very interesting monster called Oridum Greybrow.

Oridum Greybrow is a Legendary Fire Monster from the Conclave Arcana set. It has a mana cost of 7 and is a Melee Monster mainly designed for the frontline.

Talking about its stats it has 3 Melee Attack 4 Speed 6

Armor and 4 Health. The Speed is pretty decent and having 6 Armor at this mana cost is also really useful.
Now let’s talk about its abilities. Oridum Greybrow has five different abilities and most of them are very useful.
Its first ability is Thorns which it gets at Level 1

Whenever Oridum is hit by a Melee attack the attacker receives 2 physical damage in return. So if an enemy attacks Oridum with a Melee attack Oridum takes the normal damage but the attacker also takes 2 damage because of Thorns.
This makes Oridum especially useful against teams that rely heavily on Melee attackers.
Its second ability is Resurgence which unlocks at Level 2.

This is one of the most important abilities on Oridum.
When Oridum is defeated Resurgence allows it to resurrect once per battle with 100% Health and 100% Armor. It also removes Magic debuffs and reapplies Magic buffs. After resurrecting Oridum skips one turn and deals 1 physical damage to every unit.
This makes it much harder for the enemy to completely remove Oridum from the battle.
Its third ability is Piercing which unlocks at Level 3.

Piercing allows Oridum's Melee attack to deal extra damage through Armor.
For example if Oridum attacks a monster with 2 Armor and deals 4 damage then 2 damage will destroy the Armor and the remaining 2 damage will go directly to the enemy's Health.
This makes Oridum very useful against heavily armored frontline monsters.
At Level 3 Oridum also gets its fourth ability which is Magic Reflect.

Magic Reflect allows Oridum to punish Magic attackers. When Oridum is hit by a Magic attack it reflects half of the damage back to the attacker rounded up.
For example if an enemy deals 3 Magic damage Oridum will reflect 2 damage back to that attacker. So Magic attackers have to think twice before attacking it.
The fifth and final ability is Spite which unlocks at Max Level.

When Oridum is defeated Spite gives it a 100% chance to make a counterattack. This becomes especially powerful because Oridum already has Resurgence. So even after defeating Oridum the enemy can still take damage from its counterattack and then Oridum can come back through Resurgence.
Ability Progression
At Level 1 it gets Thorns.
At Level 2 it gets Resurgence.
At Level 3 it gets Piercing and Magic Reflect.
At Max Level it gets Spite

For positioning I would generally recommend putting Oridum in the first position. It can attack immediately while also making full use of its defensive abilities.
Now let's talk about why I think this is such a strong monster.
One of its biggest strengths is that it can deal with different types of attackers. Against Melee attackers it has Thorns which provides extra damage. Against Magic attackers it has Magic Reflect which punishes them for attacking. Against armored monsters it has Piercing which allows its damage to go through Armor and hit Health.
And when Oridum is finally defeated its Resurgence can bring it back into the battle.
All these abilities together make Oridum much more than just a normal damage dealer. It is a strong and durable frontline monster that can continue to contribute even after being defeated once.
So that's it for today's post. I hope you found this review helpful and enjoyed reading it.
I'll see you all in my next post. Until then goodbye
