Splinterlands has some classy people on the main leaderboard.

As a tiny fish in the Splinterlands game its easy to see the whales in a negative light. They get the best rewards, they have the most powerful cards, they squish people like me in guild battles. They are getting thousands of DEC and lots of chests at the end of season while I get far far less.

But I was taking a look at the leaderboard out of curiosity and saw this:

and was shocked because one of those warriors is in my guild!

Now I have to rethink my view on the Splinterland elite.

My guildmate is awesome. Welcoming to noobs like me (a year ago), makes the guild chat fun and supportive, and straight up gave me my first gold card when I was nothing and no-one. I mean look at the donation to the guild... how many guild members do you know who donate 285,280 DEC?

Now I have lots of other guildmates from all over the world. They all make the game special in their own way and some I'd commend even more in a different post... but...

I just wanted to post this because for all those guys who are starting out battling for scraps in Bronze and envious of those who have been here from the beginning and are so much more powerful. I've met one of them and Splinterlands is what it is because of them. They stuck with the game when there was no money in it. Supported the new members when they had nothing and were total noobs.

Without them the game just wouldn't be what it is.

So, While I may envy their cards. While I may hate getting stomped by them.

My hat is off to them for all the work they have done to get the game to where it is.
