How many Chaos packs do you need to reach Champion level : Splinterlands Investment blog Day 26 -- part 1
I've read a few blogs where people say they are going to get Chaos legion cards and rank up to Champion. I wish them all the best but perhaps they don't realize how expensive that is going to be.
Here's the numbers for each rank level in case anyone is interested.
First some information :
Assuming 5000 cards purchased. 98% Regular and 2% Gold Foil
Here's the breakdown of the expected card qty, power, and total power:
Takehome message: If you get 5000 cards:
- You have an 80% chance of getting a Gold legendary..no guarantee
- You'll get 39 legendary cards
- 4 gold epic cards
- 196 epic cards
- and probably about 116,624 power which is just enough to get you into Gold 3
- and every dollar spent will get you about 29 power.
How expensive does that mean each rank is going to be?
Here's the table:
Over $17,000 to become a Champion rank player and that's just to get enough power. Buying key cards will make it even more expensive.
I think with that price tag I'm happy to stay Silver league.
Happy hunting!
and for anyone who is interested here's today's investment breakdown
Nice post :)
What about gold/legendary potions?
That was in my next post :) 35.66 power per dollar if you buy the gold and legendary potions so $14,000 instead of $17,000 if you take advantage of the potions.
Absolutely you should be using the potions (even if you have to buy them) if you are going to be opening packs. Just don't buy them with DEC (check my last post) as there is a glitch in the pricing if you pay with DEC.
That's the reason that rule favours Gold and avobe league players. Investment become double and more if you upgrade your cards from level 2 to level 3 when you upgraded them from level to level 2.
