I started the Merchants Guild : Splinterlands Investment Day 39

I was posting a daily blog about my investment into Splinterlands but haven't updated in the past week.

Why? I was deciding if starting a guild was a good investment decision.

Currently @terganmarket (my investment account) is in a guild with a few great players in it. It has a modest guild due of 50 DEC weekly which is being used to upgrade our arena so we can do guild battles.

but with 50 DEC/player weekly it is going to take a long time and every DEC I contribute is burnt by Splinterlands.

In the end I decided to make a new guild. A guild where members earn their position by buying and holding GUILD coin. Where an investment is made into the guild by purchasing a token that can be held or sold instead of burning the DEC into a building. Sure the GUILD token may falter and become worthless but holding a worthless coin or burning your DEC both end of with zero balance. Then again the guild may flourish and its coin become more valuable so helping the guild also helps the players.

In that regard I'll likely be continuing my investment blog as a guild blog for Merchants Guild though my leader account @hiveabbyftp.
