Splinterlands Investment -- Day 24: Goodbye Vouchers...but should they be a regular daily drop?

Post obsolete before it even gets one upvote. Just read that the vouchers will be an ongoing thing and this is just a temporary lull. Horray, Splinterlands read my mind.

Today I woke up and no more daily voucher. No more hawking it on hive-engine for HIVE. No more converting those HIVE to DEC to buy tasty cards for my collection.

Why no more vouchers? The Chaos legion is coming! Or at least the first million packs.

Finally the market will quiet down. Prices will drop. Rents will go down. Regular players can be competitive again. Or maybe I'm totally wrong :)

Should the SPS be a regular drop though?

I'm voting for yes!

The reason? The price of SPS is only being held up because of the big SPS staking benefit. Once the voucher went away so did half its price. Once the staking bonus goes away where will the price drop to then?

If the voucher was a long term drop...even in smaller amounts... it would reward those people who held their SPS and held their vouchers for items in the future. It would reward long term players who are thinking past just the Chaos release to whatever happens after it.

Having long term voucher release would also mean that when the set after Chaos comes out the system won't be so expensive! 50 packs should cost $200 but with vouchers going for $16 it meant that 50 packs cost closer to $1000. Keep the vouchers coming long term and those loyal players can continually hold them or buy them during a lull so when the next set comes out they can get their airdrops or titles for a much more reasonable amount of money.

I certainly enjoyed the daily boost to my income by the voucher but I'd rather see it come in a stead stream than make it a one month scramble.

And the results for Day 24:

Final thought.

Haven't received any PIZZA tokens recently so guess those aren't paying out to me at least. Have been getting ONEUP tokens and they have actually had value more than dust! So, Thanks for all those who have given me a ONEUP, appreciate it.

Just an FYI, if a post still has 0.00 pending payout (like when it has 0 votes), you can still delete the post :-)
