A small guide for the newcomers

Hi,

First let me introduce myself : my name is Paul, I'm a Linux Expert and a Network Administrator, and I'm all into crypto (mining, farming, NFT) and I just started on splinterlands ! How I found splinterlands? I searched for NFT games and this one got my attention ! Love the card game and I can say splinterlands it's not just a game, it's a community, you can play for fun and earn same time. Wish I started sooner, and as I can see, it's harder for a newcomer to know how to advance and what info to use. For this reason, I want to post my way of advancing that I think will help anyone who gets started

First buy some Credits

Just the click up on the + Sign and a window will appear with 2 payment options, you can use PayPal or Crypto :

if you choose crypto and don't own any from the list the best one to transfer in my opinion is EOS since it has no fee for transferring !

Then buy the spellbook don't overthink it, just do it! You need to buy the spellbook to start earning DEC for every fight you win and get daily Loot Chests.

Get you Power Up

Now you need to get your power up to advance to the next League, that is done by owning cards and since all Packs are Sold Out the only way to get Cards now it's to buy from Market:

You can get lots of cards at a cheap price under $1 and For every card you get 10 Power !
I personaly use the splinterlands.com market but you can get them from cardauctionz.com, monstermarket.io, peakmonsters.com to.

What's cool about the cards, after you own them, you can combine them to get bigger LVL for the Cards and unlock new stats or rent them out to earn $ :

This is my small tutorial on how to advance for newcomers. This would have helped me, that's the reason I post this, to help others who just start enjoying the world of splinterlands.

Great to have you on board in the Splinterlands game and the other communities from the HIVE blockchain. Everything ties together here and layers up to your revenue. Note that you can buy credits also with LEO and use them for card purchasing as well. And in a similar way by exchanging the second layer to LEO or HIVE you can get more streams that you can put up in the game and expand your assets.
