Why does the beginning of the season suck!!

Why does the beginning of the season suck why are matches almost unplayable winning a match is almost impossible you're better off waiting a couple of days and letting all the sweaters get out the way so you can actually compete.
Fun time spending all your capture rate percentage and going backwards in rank ending the season in diamond 3 and starting the season off in Gold 3 but then losing all the matches and ending up in silver one and now I have no capture rate percentage left to play the game.
