Did I Get A Runi Whilelist?

Last week, I was all over the place on how I wanted to get a Runi. I hoped to get a whitelist spot but I already convinced myself that that would not happen and I would have to struggle on the minting date. Still, I was going to try to get a spot even though I knew that the struggle would be intense.

So, a few hours before the Runi whitelist sale was supposed to begin (and apparently end), I had to get everything ready. I got to the page and connected my wallet without a problem. I decided to restart my browser to see if the wallet would stay connected and, to my surprise, it did not. Every time I restarted the browser, the wallet would be disconnected so I decided that I would connect it when it was 30 minutes before the sale. Sounds reasonable enough right?

Well, exactly 30 minutes before the sale was supposed to begin, I launched my browser and proceeded as normal. I thought it was all good until I tried to connect my wallet and it did not work. I kept clicking on the "CONNECT WALLET" button but it just would not click. I restarted my laptop a couple of times and even changed the default wallet to Brave wallet but nothing worked. As you can imagine, I was frustrated and almost gave up. As soon as I sought help on the discord server, the button worked and I connected my wallet. Luck had not abandoned me yet.

I kept that page up until the countdown was over. After the countdown, nothing came up so I quickly refreshed the page. After what seemed like ages, the page refreshed and I clicked the button that replaced the countdown but nothing happened. I clicked it again and it just pushed the page down a bit. I scrolled down to find the little "BUY" button. At this point, Hardpoint had gotten hit second spot and there were a little above 1,700 left. I clicked on the button, crossed my fingers and just waited for what felt like an eternity. Then this happened;

I got the Whitelist spot! A couple of seconds after I got mine, it was all gone.

I am really happy to be a part of this Runicore project. I already said in my previous post that I think that this project is a really smart move by the team. This might just be the boost we need to reach the bigger NFT community. Of course this project alone may not be enough but let's see if it succeeds.

I have seen a lot of people say they want a particular Runi from the pictures that were released and I find that kind of funny.

From the image above, we can see that there would upward of 1 billion trait combinations meaning that each Runi will be completely different. This also means that it is highly unlikely that anyone would get the one they hoped for. Of course most people already know that so let us just accept whatever we get. I just really really hope I get a gold foil because, with just about 130 of them, they would have a lot of value. Fingers crossed on that.

I have seen the full stats of the Runi and I think it's ok as it is.

So basically I would get to use the same stats as people in higher leagues except for the extra melee damage at max level. Playing in Silver. the only ability I would not be able to use is the Reflection Shield. Given that I don't lose out a lot compared to players in higher leagues, I'm happy with the stats. Plus stats will not matter if I eventually decide to sell my Runi. I especially can't wait to see how the Rebirth ability would change the gameplay.
