SPS airdrop is almost over. Here's what I'm doing to get more.

Ever since I started playing splinterlands about two months ago I've gotten to know so much about SPS and the airdrop. A few weeks back I got to know that the airdrop would end in July but the whole thing was very low in my priority list. It wasn't until recently after I found out that we had less than 3 weeks to go that I decided to increase my airdrop points.

When I bought my land plot, I imported it into the game and it added 10,000 points to me. Buying another land plot is not something I want to do so my next thought was to just buy a bunch of DEC and let it just sit in my account. However, after learning more about how the airdrop points are calculated I decided to double my points by adding a lot of DEC to liquidity pools.

I bought over 282k DEC with funds in my Hive wallet and transferred it all to my Hive engine wallet. I used BeeSwap which automatically links your Hive Engine wallet when you log in. Before adding liquidity, I had to make sure I had a good amount of swap.hive in the Hive Engine wallet with the same value as the DEC. With 269 swap.hive, I added over 211k DEC in the swap.hive:dec pool.

For now I'll just let the DEC and swap.hive sit in the DEC pool while I earn the little rewards that come with it. The most important thing for me is that I have been able to double my airdrop points from a potential 200k to more than 400k with just the liquidity pool.

After adding liquidity, I had about 70k DEC left which I just transferred back to the game adding to the 10k I already have there. Altogether, my points are up from 25k to 523,502.

I know I'm probably too late to try and drive up my airdrop points but it's better late than never. Yesterday I claimed about 30 SPS thanks to my increased points. If the SPS keep coming at this pace, I should have a little above 600 SPS when the airdrop is over. Not bad for someone who started the game 2 months ago.

Getting Things Done

I'm super excited about Modern and Wild. I've been looking into great Chaos Legion and Untamed cards to purchase especially for Earth. Last week, I got my Obsidian to level 4 which is the max for Silver league. Now that I have a good enough summoner, I'm slowly and steadily buying up cards that are useful to me until I max them up for silver. For this week, here are the cards I bought;

CARDNAMELEVEL(BCX)MAX LVL FOR SILVER(BCX REQUIRED)

image.pngGOBLIN PSYCHIC3(14)5(60)
image.pngVENARI SCOUT2(5)5(60)
image.pngGRUND1(1)3(10)
image.pngHUNTER JARX2(4)3(10)

For now, I'm more focused on buying Chaos Legion cards which are way more cheaper than the Untamed ones. Once I'm satisfied with Earth, I'll start to build my deck for Life.

When I start playing in modern I wouldn't stress so much about the daily focuses. This is why I want to build my decks for Earth, Life and possibly Death or Fire so that I can battle everyday without having to spend so much renting cards. My wins will always add to the season points and occasionally to the focus points anytime I am given a focus for a deck I own.

I'm also super excited about the new legendary summoners. Once the price for Grandmaster Rathe stabilizes, I'll buy him and get him to level 2. I'll also do the same for the Earth and Death or Fire legendary summoners.

CONCLUSION

All in all, I've been trying to learn as quick as possible and position myself right for everything coming to Splinterlands. I bought a plot of land in anticipation for the Land expansion that is coming. I believe land will be very useful and, given the limited supply, its price will probably shoot. I just hope I get an epic or even a legendary plot. That'd be really cool.

I have also been able to increase my airdrop points for SPS. Right now, I want to gather as much SPS as possible in anticipation of the Riftwatchers mini card edition. SPS may also increase in value when it begins to see more use cases.

As a new player, it would make sense if I played in modern after the release of Modern and Wild. In preparation, I've been doing a lot of math for the best cards to get in Chaos Legion and Untamed. In no time, I should have a good deck for several splinters in silver level.

I'm really glad I started playing splinterlands and have taken it very seriously. It's been about 2 months and I can say I'm no longer a total noob. I have learned a lot and hope to make the most of any opportunities the game has to offer. I believe in Splinterlands game and the community!
