RE: Splinterlands - EOS Update, Deck Plans & Renting Income!

Hi Steve, i came across your post on publish0x and decided to comment here instead. Nice report👍
I took a step back from playing for a bit and had a lot of my cards on the rental market as well, and you hit the nail on the head with the inconsistency of income. I was willing to take the hit though, as i didn't have the time or energy to micromanage rentals.

In terms of rental strategy, i just pay attention to why i'm losing battles, and see what i'm missing from my line up to counter that. As for how much to spend; i think that will depend on where in the season you are hiring. If you can rent early you'll usually get a better rate, and try to rise in ranks quickly while you have those good cards. last couple of days are usually not as cost effective, as the price of good cards tends to skyrocket, as you already know.

Thanks for the tips, I am trying to do what you say and lock in my rentals with reasonable prices before they start going crazy. I will see if I manage to do that. Im finding also that I need a 2nd deck as often I cant play my earth splinter.

Look forward to seeing you in the Splinterverse!

I hear ya about the 2nd deck. I encounter the exact same problem, except I’m a water player.

Let me know what way you want to build your 2nd deck. If I have some cards that’ll help you more than me I can delegate them to you.
