Quix the Devious and the Rise of the Dragons!

Dragons are versatile monsters that can be used together with any other splinters.

The arrival of Quix the Devious and the legion of powerful dragons brought them up to another level.

This post is a demonstration of the versatility of the dragon splinters. This also includes my basic strategy when forming my team.

Battle Stations

I’m expecting that the opponent will use mainly ranged attackers for this battle. Ranged attackers has the advantage since snipe and sneak attacks are disabled.

A perfect time to use the dragon summoner, Quix the Devious together with Life.

I will still need to be wary of the possibility of opportunity attackers while forming my team. This is just incase my opponent uses either Fire or Water splinters.

Summoner: Quix the Devious

I chose Quix the Devious as I am expecting mostly ranged attackers in this battle. Quix the Devious will reduce both the damage of ranged attackers and also reduce their speed.

Position 1: Pelacor Conjurer

One of my favorite tanks under the Life Splinter. Its evasive capabilities will be greatly boosted by Quix the Devious. It also costs only 2 mana which is very suitable for such low mana battles.

Position 2: Soul Fiend

Another valuable monster in low mana battles. I chose it last to maximize the position slot. I positioned it here to take at least one damage in case Pelacor Conjurer fails. Also a good opportunity diversion in case the opponent uses one.

Position 3: Creeping Ooze

I chose Creeping Ooze to maximize the mana cap. I also positioned it here to be a sacrificial shield against opportunity attacks. Its’ slow ability will also help in further reducing the opponents speed. This will make them more likely to miss.

Position 4: Venari Crystalsmith

I needed a tank healer and a ranged attacker. Venari Crystalsmith is perfect for this situation. I position her here to act as the secondary tank, given its health and tank heal ability.

Position 5: Naga Assassin

One of my main attackers. It has only 1 ranged attack at this level but will do given the mana cap. I positioned her here due to her speed. Her high speed will make opportunity attackers more likely to miss when targeted.

Position 6: Xenith Archer

Another of my main attackers aside from Naga Assassin. Has the same 1 ranged attack but will do for this mana cap.

Post Battle Analysis

The opponent did not use General Sloan as I expected. The opposing team expected me to use General Sloan instead and used Contessa L’ament.

Good thing I used Pelacor Conjurer as my main tank. He is immune against Cursed Windekus’ thorns ability. His speed and flying ability made physical attackers misses most of the time.

Venari Crystalsmith did a great job healing damages taken by my tank. My ranged attackers also their part in decimating the opposing team.

Conclusion:

Dragons are versatile monsters that can be paired with any other splinters. This will make you get the best out of the two sides when forming your team.

For this battle, Quix the Devious, plus Life, is undeniably the most logical choice.

Go! Go! Dragons!

Great analysis, dragons are really strong and helps me a lot on sneak and snipe daily quests on low bronze.

Indeed!

I really like Dragons. They are in a way similar to the Neutrals that can be used with other splinters. Both of them are great initial investments.

Thanks for stopping by and for upvoting my post.

They are! I'm having a hard time choosing between getting an obsidian at level 4 or a Quix at level 2. The first deck I'm building is an magic earth one.

I feel you.
I can't also decide which one to level up first on my summoners.
I want them all to level 4, quix at level 2, but have to get them all to level 3 first.
My Obsidian, Sloan and Brood are currently level 2.
Btw, Quix is far expensive than the rest of them (CL edition) but when you do the math, it's actually the cheapest summoner to level up.
