My Splinterlands Blog #135 - Waiting For A Bot Ban

Welcome to another article where I write about my journey playing Splinterlands! I am still waiting, and hoping, for the ban on bots in Modern to actually come out. In the meantime, I'm continuing to struggle to grind out some wins for daily rewards.

There was one update to gameplay to fix some wonky issues with debuffs taking away more of a buff than intended, but other than that not a lot of news that really impacts gameplay. The wait for Land 1.5 and Tower Defense also drags on. It seems like both are pushed back from coming out in June, as previously estimated on an older road map.

Hopefully both of those big projects will be out in July or August, which is supposed to be the end of the current quarter for development. SPS renting and SPS adjusted ranked rewards will also probably be out soon, but that's something that's been a lot less hyped up. Anyhow, not much that's new, so let's move on to the breakdown of the past week.

Daily Quest Rewards:

Daily Quest # 993. Got Disable Focus on my main account, still getting Diamond League chests as a carry over from the previous season. I received 1.409 Splintershard Tokens (SPS) and 6 Gobson Bombers (common monster).

InvestYGator, my Silver League alternate account, got Life Focus. I got 0.097 SPS, 3 Gold potions, 1 Legendary potion, 2 Possessed Puppet (common monster), 2 Madcap Magus (rare monster), and an Evelyn Auvera (epic monster)!

Daily Quest # 994. Got Death Focus and back to Gold League chests. I received 1.870 (0.576 + 0.635 + 0.659) SPS and 22 Merits.

InvestYGator got Life Focus. I got 0.223 (0.135 + 0.088) SPS, 2 Gold potions, 2 Wily Coyotian (common monster), and a Pyrewatch Devil (rare monster).

Daily Quest # 995. Got Death Focus. I received 56 Merits, 6 Dumacke Orc (common monster), and 2 Evelyn Auvera!

InvestYGator got Anti Melee Focus. I got 0.561 (0.08 + 0.099 + 0.382) SPS, 2 Dumacke Orc, 2 Terraceous Grunt (common monster), a Coastal Sentry (common monster), a Gobson Bomber, and an Eternan Brune (rare summoner).

Daily Quest # 996. Got Fire Focus. I received 3.190 (2.606 + 0.584) SPS and 11 Gold potions.

InvestYGator got Death Focus. I got 0.014 SPS, 28 (12 + 16) Merits, 2 Swamp Spitter (common monster), a Terraceous Grunt, 2 Fungus Flinger (common monster), and an Octavia Shadowmeld (rare summoner).

Daily Quest # 997. Got Fire Focus. I received 2.962 (2.546 + 0.416) SPS and 4 Gold potions.

InvestYGator got Stealth Focus. I got 0.616 (0.067 + 0.144 + 0.104 + 0.069 + 0.135 + 0.097) SPS and 5 (3 + 2) Legendary potions.

Daily Quest # 998. Got Water Focus. I received 3.329 (2.609 + 0.319 + 0.401) SPS.

InvestYGator got Fire Focus. I got 0.267 (0.068 + 0.077 + 0.122) SPS, 5 (3 + 2) Legendary potions, 88 Merits, a Fungus Flinger, and 2 Coastal Sentry.

Daily Quest # 999. Got Exploits Focus. I received 1.315 SPS, 14 (8 + 6) Gold potions, 3 Ravenhood Wardens (rare monster), and a Thane Newsong (epic monster)!

InvestYGator got Earth Focus. I got 1.051 (0.133 + 0.696 + 0.103 + 0.119) SPS, 2 Legendary potions, 2 Gold potions, 16 Merits, and 4 (2 + 2) Pyrewatch Devils.

I opened two more Chaos Legion packs:

A gold foil common is a decent find.

Nothing of real note here, just the base minimal single rare.

Guild Brawls:

Guild Brawl #155, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. The guild came in second to last place, with two people not submitting their teams.

The Rest:

A couple of larger accounts dumped a lot of cards onto the market, and I picked up some very cheap commons to toss onto land. I didn't get any great deals, but hopefully I'll at least have some max common reward cards for my land. No real tournament play, or other trading to speak of this week.

One item of note, is that one large bot account seems to have just burnt a lot of its cards for Dark Energy Crystals (DEC), rather than to try to deal with selling them off. The 5th Anniversary burning event will also be ending in about a week, which has burned a decent chunk of DEC for guild points. And, that's about all the news for this week!
