My Splinterlands Blog #144 - A Wreck Is Coming!

Welcome to another article where I write about my journey playing Splinterlands! With the burning of RiftWatcher packs underway, we've already hit the amount of packs needed to trigger the next legendary card airdrop. The next card is a beefy Water card, Sea Wreck.

Sure, the promotional image is cool, but what are the stats?

While there was no town hall, or town square, this past week due to the Labor Day holiday, the tentative stats were posted up on the Discord chat server for the game. While very slow, it has a lot of health, regenerates, and reflects both magic and archery damage. It should be a great card for the reverse speed rules set matches!

Last week's patch was also a fairly quiet one, with most of the team presumably still working on the next phase of land. A bug with Zyriel causing surrenders was fixed, which was really the only thing impacting playing the game. The rest was minor bug fixes or user interface cleanup.

With no other news at the time of this writing, we might as well move on to brawls. But, first, I did open a couple more Chaos Legion packs:

A nice pair of packs with an epic in each, and some of the better ones from Chaos Legion in my opinion. They also didn't take the place of the rare in the pack, so really solid finds both this week and the previous one.

Guild Brawls:

Guild Brawl #171, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. The guild came in 4th from last place, with one person failing to submit brawls. Plus, only four people even signed up, which didn't help things either.

The Rest:

I decided to play in Wild a bit more on my alternate account, playing in Silver League, and got up to where I can move to Gold much earlier in the season. I then switched back to Modern to see if I could also get my ranking up there, but it's been quite the struggle. I've been just playing Modern, in Gold league, on my main account, which has fared a bit better than playing Modern in Silver.

I did get lucky and found another Chaos Legion pack in my rewards. I've been typically getting about 5 chests a day, which isn't great in the scheme of thing. But, better than the couple that I got at the start of the season.

With any luck, we'll get some news on Soulkeep or Land progress on the upcoming Town Hall... which, will probably be about a week old by the time the season ends and I write my next update. Ah well, in the meantime I'm going to just keep playing and try to drag myself back up to Diamond league before the season runs out.
