My Splinterlands Blog #145 - Ban Expansions Coming Soon
Welcome to another article where I write about my journey playing Splinterlands! With another season done, there's a lot of thing coming "soon", and only a few things that happened since my midweek update. Sea Wreck was released, though I didn't get lucky enough to get an airdrop copy with how few Riftwatcher packs I have purchased.
The teased stats did end up being what was released.
Aside from the Sea Wreck release, the main change from the last patch was that the costs for purchasing additional energy now resets with the daily Focus end. Also, rerolling your daily Focus no longer resets your points towards your daily chests. And, that was pretty much it for updates.
There were a few items of note on the last Town Hall. Apparently the ban on bots in tournaments and brawls will be coming out with the next update, as well as expanding the ban to include battle helpers. Land 1.5 was also put up for public testing after the season ended, although it still seems fairly buggy.
I'm hoping the ban on battle helpers in Modern makes the league more fun. It seems like it's just a constant stream of optimized max level cards, which isn't particularly fun to play against. Granted, I moved to playing in Wild on my alternate account since beating up poorly geared bots seems a better path to earning chests.
That's about all of the concrete news. Tower Defense is back in internal testing apparently, where it was supposed to have been several months ago, so who knows when that will come out. One last item from the week, I did open up a couple more Chaos Legion packs:
Slightly above average packs with the gold foil common in one and the extra rare card in the other.
Guild Brawls:
Guild Brawl #172, playing Bronze League Gold Foil Only. The guild came in 2nd to last place, with only like 3 other people still active. The actual guild leader hasn't been around in about a month, and I'm curious if the bot ban will remove some of these other accounts.

The Rest:
I managed to make it back to Gold on my alternate account in Wild, but I couldn't even get up to Gold I on my main before the end of season. Losing constantly is not particularly fun, but this also doesn't seem like a particularly great market to dump cards in either. Still waiting for the next phase of the land expansion to come out, but that seems like a stretch to get out before October.
These were Gold season chests on my alternate account. Aside from one epic, pretty much nothing else of note.
Diamond season chests on my main account. The Chaos Legion pack is always nice, but otherwise a single epic, and some decent SPS chests.
