The Dude's Daily SplinterLogs - 3-7 - Ending Week With Losing Record - Wake And Bake With Strawberry Haze

It's Friday and the end of my 1st week of my daily @splinterlands challenge. My challenge is to play 10 battles per day, log them, learn from my mistakes, and get better every day!

Last night I opened up 10 CHAOS packs and got ahold of some good cards, if you want to check out the video, here it is on 3Speak.

After that I went in and made allot of purchases of gold foil cards and some Epic level cards to get my deck a bit more stacked to either rent out for passive income, or prepare for higher game levels.

Chilled at a Motel 6 last night, sometimes nomads need a refresher! So I am set up this morning with some free motel coffee and some awesome Strawberry Haze sativa dabs to wake and bake and get the day going! How awesome is life that is is part of my daily work, lol!

So now that I am getting my head in the game, it's time for the first Battle!

Starting the day pretty high up in the Bronze III level, lets see if I can make it to Bronze II to end out the week! It's possible but the only way to find out is to get at it!

Battle 1- Loss

Well the first battle of the day started out with a loss. I tried to battle the Life element vs my Death set up on a 28 mana cap battle. Sadly got my butt kicked, but gonna shake it off and move on to the next battle!

Battle 2- Loss

Second battle is a 30 mana cap battle so I can play with some big monsters. And I didn't adjust my strategy enough because it was another fairly big butt spanking. Maybe it's time to adjust a bit and possibly try a different setup for the next battle.

Battle 3- Loss

18 mana cap battle for the 3rd round. I am trying out the Forest element this round vs the water element and it was the 3rd loss in a row! WTF... This time I only got 1 hit the whole battle... It is still confusing how the turns get to be played. I feel like I should have gotten at least a couple of more turns... Oh well... Onto the next round...

Battle 4- Loss

23 mana cap for this one. Fire vs my Water element. Today is pretty much sucking hard for my record. The one thing I found in this battle is that sometimes your monsters don't take off the proper amount of health that their stats say. I should have been able to take out a monster with one hit with a 3 on the stat, but only takes off 2 of the health... Anyway, there is allot to this game to understand I suppose. Hopefully I can win all of the next 6 to keep a winning record this week, but it's not looking hot...

Battle 5- Win

15 mana cap battle and I FINALLY won one! It gets real frustrating when you are on a losing streak so finally glad, half way through my daily challenge that I broke the streak!

Battle 6- Win

22 mana cap battle resulted this time in another win on the board! My Death element strategy redeemed itself the time around.

Battle 7- Loss

13 mana cap battle. I only chose 2 cards in my Death vs Fire element and the opponent added the little shield restore guy that was my eventual downfall. My magic card didn't get a chance to fire... Oh well, there goes my winning record opportunity for the week... Did I mention I hate lower mana battles... lol...

Battle 8- Loss

29 mana cap battle resulted in another loss. This whole thing where my cards don't have a chance to get an attack off is getting on my damn nerves. It's like the other side gets to go through 2 full attack cycles before mine even gets a chance to fire. That is some garbage. This is the one mechanic in the game that is starting to piss me off.

Battle 9- Win

15 mana cap battle of my Death vs Water element got me one more win. Time to get through this day of getting my butt kicked...

Battle 10- Loss

This 29 mana battle with my Death element vs Death and they picked the better deck I suppose. I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong, but really I think today my issue was with game mechanics.

I keep hearing about some kind of spell book but do not see anything about it in the shop. Not sure what I need to be studying to get better at the game, so if any OG's can give a dude a pointer to some education so I can see what I am going wrong, that would be awesome!

At least I ended the week still in the Bronze III ranks and didn't get knocked back to Novice, lol.

My first week of my daily 10 battles Monday-Friday challenge ended up with a 2-3 losing record. Not incredibly fun to go out losing like that, but if you can't learn to lose in life, you will not appreciate it when you do actually come out on top! This calls for more dabs and a joint, lol and enjoy the weekend! I will be playing some here and there to just mess around, but I am using the weekends for more personal time and some general curation.

See you next week for a new week of daily battles on my journey to mastering the game of Splinterlands... And if I just get too pissed with it, there is always the investment side where I can just rent out my cards, lol. That's what I love about this game and why it is becoming one of my main investments.
