The Dude's Daily SplinterLogs - 4-6 - Made it To Bronze II
What's happening everyone! Hope this Tuesday is treating you well! I did things a little different this morning, and did some @hivehustlers and @coinlogic.online curation while still laying in the bed, then got up and went to the gym and got my workout in before I started my Splinterlands part of the day.
Last night I was online depositing some DEC into my game wallet and ended up playing a couple of rounds. Well low and behold, I won both low mana cap battles and got my butt into Bronze II for the first time!
So hopefully I can stay in the rankings for the rest of the season so I can keep these 7 chests!
Okay, so now I am in a bigger league that pays out DEC for battles, it's time to get serious! I may have to take some of my big boys and girls off the rental markets to actually play if I can stay up and keep moving up!
So onward to today's first battle!
My new quest is a Fire Quest so I will be playing with that splinter mostly until I complete the quest.
Battle 1- Win
mana: 21
My element: Fire
Opposing element: Life
Summary:
So now that I am in the higher levels, I now see how the rules work. The battle rules and the narrowing down of splinters you can use makes it interesting. Let's keep rolling!
Battle 2- Win
mana: 18
My element: Fire
Opposing element: Forest
Summary:
Another win for the books! They didn't have much going against my low mana fire strategy! Now on to battle 3 and let's see if we can keep up the momentum.
Battle 3- Loss
mana: 25
My element: Fire
Opposing element: Fire
Summary:
Rules for this battle were Fire element only and Reverse speed like the first one meaning the slow guys attack first. Well the opponent just played this one better. Had a bit more of an attack strategy than I did and got the upper hand. Lessons learned, time to move on!
Battle 4- Loss
mana: 26
My element: Fire
Opposing element: Fire
Summary:
Another reverse speed battle with a few other elements to choose from, still picking Fire. Still trying to figure out the game mechanics behind this because this round simply didn't make sense. I feel like the opponent had more attack rounds than I did, weird. I don't know. Moving on to the half way battle.
Battle 5- Loss

Summary:
Another reverse speed... Came down to who go the last hit...
I really need someone to explain to me how the rounds work because I am just wondering how the other team gets to end and start a round. This totally throws the battle out of balance because they get more attack turns than I do. Just doesn't make since. Not doing so hot today...Let's hope the back half goes better...
Battle 6- Win
mana: 13
My element: Death
Opposing element: Forest
Summary:
Fog of war rules... No sneaking or sniping. Went back to the devils I know in the Death element and was able to put another W on the board!
Battle 7- Win
mana: 23
My element: Fire
Opposing element: Fire
Summary:
Earthquake rules, limited elements... My opponent didn't pay attention to the rules because the earthquakes at the end of each round was their down fall! I had a my gargoyle that saved the day!
Battle 8- Loss
mana: 28
My element: Fire
Opposing element: Fire
Summary:
Armored up! This is a beast of a round here with monsters having 2 additional shields. Which didn't really matter because they were set up to take out all my back end cards before they really even faced off with my tank... It was a good strategy and worked because it kicked my ass. Oh well, lessons learned.
Battle 9- Loss

Opposing element: Water
Summary:
All monsters have knockout ability... This is going to be interesting...
Well I didn't play that one right at all and the water element put out the fire, lol. I have to win the next one if I want to break even for the day.
Battle 10- Loss
mana: 22
My element: Fire
Opposing element: Death
Summary:
The last battle of the day was a standard battle that I did not win. It did however come down to the last hit really. I was trying to hit that Fire quest and basically played what I would have laid down on the Death element and it beat me, lol.
Daily Wrap Up
Finishing out the day with a losing record of 4-6 isn't fun, but there were some big lessons learned and hey, I stayed up in the Bronze II level and even earned a few points so it wasn't so bad! Hopefully tomorrow will go better, but so far it is 1-1 for the week!
