Episode 48: An Onthemountain Conversation

Welcome back to the People's Guild! This week, the TPG bus made a pit stop in Florida, USA for a great conversation with yet another fantastic member of the Splinterlands community.

He's a content creator, an SPLTV streamer and an impassioned gamer who shares our love for this game on the blockchain.

We proudly present to you our conversation with @onthemountain.

Rick first shares with us some of life's journeys and how, at this point, he's ended up so very far from mountains. He also sheds some light on which mountain he'd like to be and how, while he's geographically far removed, his heart is never too far from the peaks.

Our guest is a lifelong gamer, having first fired up his imagination and interest through the likes of Dungeons & Dragons, MUDs (MUltiplayer virtual worlDs - predominantly text-based video games of the mid 1990's) and Magic: The Gathering. Rick's had an on-again / off-again relationship with MTG, but his passion for the genre has never wavered.

He goes on to share with us how it was a perfect storm of MTG: Arena, COVID and the realization that D&D online isn't quite the same that ultimately led to his discovery and subsequent deep-dive into the world of Praetoria and Splinterlands - and we're glad to have ya, Rick!

We have a great time with Rickonthemountain throughout this one talking all things SPL and are proud to present this episode to you here.
