Share Your Battle Challenge: Wave Runner!

Good day guys and gals! I hope that we have all had a fun and exciting week in the Splinterlands universe! Below is my submission for the Wave Runner challenge!

Share Your Battle: Wave Runner

In this challenge, I noticed that my opponent had played their last several matches with the Water splinter. I assumed they would again, and typically water splinter users will push magic hard when they play water a lot, so I went with Bortus as a summoner to negate the magic buff that I figured they would get using Valnamor or Arlic Stormbringer! This was the right call, as the opponent chose Arlic to play!

Now for my lineup!!

I decided to start off with my Sea Monster level 1 for the healing ability! It always comes in handy, as long as the opponent does not do enough damage in the first 2 or 3 rounds to take hime out, he will steadily recover from the pelting of magic shots!

I went with the gold foil Wave Runner level 3 because I knew that the reach ability would help chip away at the low health magic users on the opponents team! Plus, that gold card gets me another 10% bonus on my DEC earnings per win! The Wave Runner did a great job in assisting for front end damage through the first 2 rounds, until my Sea Monster was finally taken out, that is where card 3 comes in!

My third and final card choosen for this match was the Djinn Oshannus at level 1! I chose this card as a back-up plan, and it paid off. I knew that if my opponent had enough magic power to chew through my first 2 monsters, then the Djinn could step up and clean up the remaining opponent's monsters! With a little luck, that is exactly what happened, and I was able to get the win! I cannot wait to level up my Wave Runner to unlock the other abilities, and I look forward to seeing some other submissions from higher level players to see just how powerful this card can be!
