Did you see Drew McIntyre during Wrestlemania 40?
I must admit that I was a little bit sorry for him. Won the title, but got a little foolish and CM Punk Cost him.
He had another opportunity at redemption on Raw but as usual he blew it.
There was this big Fatal 4 Way match last night which involved Drew, Jey Uso, Bronson Reed and Ricochet.
The winner would then face Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight championship. Every one of them wanted to prove something; Bronson had just won Andre the Giant Battle Royal, Jey Uso had defeated Jimmy Uso, and Ricochet was in an impressive form. However, Drew seemed quite unsure.
In starting the match, Drew took time off to talk. He attributed his win to Seth’s help, said some weird things about Damian and criticized CM Punk in strong words. Then Jey interrupted him; may have been a good thing since it was late already and the match had to begin.
That match was crazy!
They went at each other like big bears; Drew against Bronson.
So then Jey alongside Richeochet turned their focus on Drew which wasn’t such a bad idea. Even Richeochet did this insane leap off the ropes onto the announcer’s table where Bronson lay down there looking really hurtful.
It came down to Drew and Jey, which was logical. However, just when it seemed like Drew was going to win, the match got interrupted by CM Punk who had been hiding under the ring!
He ruined that for Drew and Jey became victorious. Now Jey will fight Damian for the title.
In general, it turned out to be a really thrilling encounter with numerous likely outcomes. I believe the unexpected entrance of CM Punk at the end made it even more intriguing.
How would Drew respond to this and what direction will their rivalry take?
