Reflections on Monday Raw. 6th May 2024

Hey there lovely people of the Hive Universe! It's your wrestling boy P, always happy to bring you content and updates on everything WWE, WOOGame, and Wrestling Worldwide

Well, I sat down to watch the latest episode of Raw and they opened with a recap of everything that happened at Backlash. It was a good way to get caught up for anyone who may have missed it.

Then they moved into the Raw side of things — King and Queen of the Ring brackets specifically. It’s always fun to see who’s fighting for those titles and how they’re going to make their mark on the tournament.

When Judgment Day came out, there was an electricity in the air. Damian Priest took a microphone and got real about what he’s been going through lately; especially with Jey Uso.

He talked about how even though Uso might’ve had France in his pocket, it doesn’t change the fact that he is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

It was cool to see him address his group’s internal tensions; acknowledging Finn Balor and JD McDonagh apologizing as well as expressing gratitude towards them.

There was a heartwarming moment when Priest, Balor, and McDonagh hugged each other while Dominik Mysterio joined them too, though he looked a bit awkward.

This shows us that no matter what grudges they bear or how intense the dramas might be among themselves, these wrestlers are still united by a sense of comradeship within the wrestling locker room.

As soon as this emotional scene ended, Damian Priest got straight back to work. He reminded everyone about his being an unbeatable kingpin and then talked up Finn Balor as someone who could win King of the Ring – especially now that Drew McIntyre had pulled out and gifted him with a bye into round two.

Balor’s self-belief was evident from his words which indicated that he saw this as chance to prove himself rightful ruler.

It was quite an emotional journey: from suspense through reconciliation all the way till expectation for future events. I just can’t wait for next week’s episodes because anything can happen in WWE! Who will become King & Queen Of The Ring at last?
