Did you see the promo between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles?

I must say that it made me so excited for their match in Backlash. This time they did not adhere to the same old script of bringing family stuff into play; No, this time they went deeper.

What Styles did was he called out Rhodes on quitting WWE when things got hard and then coming back with a silver plater where everything is set for success while he had to hustle both inside and outside the company alone.

He believes in overcoming challenges alone, solo, and he won’t shy from making Rhodes acknowledge that.

However, In response Rhodes said that it is insulting to downplay his journey just because somebody assisted him along the way.

He went through his own version of hell to be where he stands now and no one will take away from him what’s rightfully his.

Then, they teased a “too sweet” moment but Styles decided to slap Rhodes instead. What a cliffhanger!

I have to give it to them — this wasn’t just some usual drama; it was way more interesting than that.

By doing this exchange, it really beefed up their feud and got me so excited for their match. They both told an amazing story tonight and I’m here for all of it.

I am invested in this storyline and cannot wait to see how it unfolds at Backlash tonight.
