The Speed series has been inaugurated by the WWE, and it is causing a stir among fans. The idea is simple yet exciting – quick matches with a time limit of three minutes only.

They are aiming to crown their first WWE Champion for SPEED.

It’s an interesting variation on traditional wrestling matches that I am so excited about!
In the premiere episode, two matches were witnessed that had us at the edge of our seats.
First up was Ricochet versus Dragon Lee. In keeping with its name, the fight saw both superstars executing instant moves and aerial maneuvers. At last moment before time expired Ricochet prevailed in order to showcase his snap judgment and agility.
However, that was not the end of thrill moments. The second match pitted Cedric Alexander against Bronson Reed in a battle of styles. Although Alexander showed some signs of speed and aerial techniques, Reed proved to be stronger than him in terms of strength and flexibility. At the end, he got his win while moving onto next round.
What is even more fascinating is the competition style that involves only eight contenders fighting for the most desired championship. We have barely tasted a tip of an iceberg, and as such I cannot wait to see what will happen in rest of the matches.
The next couple of weeks will witness some hot contests with wrestlers like NXT’s Axiom and JD McDonagh from The Judgment Day.
As a WWE follower, it is exciting to see them attempt new formats and concepts. Speed mixes up professional wrestling, adding urgency and excitement to every match.
