My 2022 Hive Goals - Weekly Status Update #6
Oh my gosh!
I've failed to publish my Hive goals weekly update post on Sunday evening for the first time. This must mean that I'm not focused anymore and that I'm going to fail!
Just kidding! Of course not. It's just that I got caught up in other things and already published a Listnerds post earlier as well, add to that my very tired eyes from sitting behind the screens and I called it a night before even starting my update post.
Another day has passed
Although I was intending on writing the post earlier today, preferably in the morning, I failed on doing that as well. Which feels like an excuse but actually it was mostly due to the many, many comments that were waiting for me this morning which I all had to answer. The Listnerds experience has brought in tons of engagement and I really try to answer every comment. If I forget yours, know that I probably read it on a device being logged of intending to come back. Your comments are appreciated, all of them! But not it's already 8 PM when I write this and I still can't use our comfy home office with 3 screens. Filling in the table with numbers etc. it's just a pain for me behind my laptop, that screen is too small and so tiring for my eyes when dealing with numbers and tables.
Delegated tokens
Being the Social Media Manager for the OneUp cartel means that I read more and more about everything the cartel has been doing. This, of course, includes their awesome curation efforts. As a CineTV curator for the OneUp cartel, I initially didn't delegate my CINE tokens to the cine-curator account, until I realized I can also upvote comments with the bot and therefore I can reward the author either way.
From today, I have my full CINE stake delegated to the cine-curator account as well and hoping to see some sweet returns from that, compound my stake and up my delegation every day. For my curation efforts on CineTV, it means that I will most likely upvote your content with the bot if it's good enough OR refrain from voting otherwise. Nothing personal!

Listnerds added and SPS almost completed!
I'm so proud of myself for pushing through and keep adding almost every earned HBD in SPS since I decided to a goal of 10k for this year. I thought I should play safe and with that goal, I didn't need to buy many on top of my farming/airdrop earnings. Until I decided that these vouchers were probably going to be more valuable over time again as well and that the year-long airdrop ends in July. I wanted to benefit as long from that as possible and here we are February 14, and tonight or tomorrow, depending on when I get paid, I will buy the last SPS needed to hit 10k! I'm not sure yet on buying more after that, because there are a few other things I want to buy into / add more to my holdings outside of Hive, so we'll see.
Listnerds had to be added to the list, as it's part of my daily earnings even when I don't receive rewards for an email I send last week. The farming rewards alone make it possible to set a goal fairly easy to accomplish. I didn't really calculate the email earnings yet for that goal honestly, so in a month from now, I may be earning more due to daily mailings compared to once every 3 days now. It's good to have another source of income on Hive though, I'm having loads of fun and really love the journey so far.
Overall a great week
Although I had the feeling I was a little behind on my weekly HP goal, I noticed that my weekly target goal was only up from 68 to 68.08% and quite a few others had dropped a lot, which means I have some room for less great weeks in terms of earnings/buying tokens. LVL for example has gone up in price from $0.00199 to $0.00547 (and was higher last week even I think) since I started taking notes nog long after I started buying. It will be harder to reach the 200k I want to have but I will make it.
Fun fact, if I were to stop buying SPS now, my weekly target is less than I earn by farming/airdrop each day. So I would be hitting 10k soon even without buying. But I like the boost you see in rewards once you buy a nice bag.
I could work on my post count though, that's falling a bit behind but whenever the reason is work (mostly for CineTV) than this is a valid reason as we're working hard to get the community on the map. I enjoy it a lot and it inspires me as well, so no biggie that my post count is a bit lower. At least the engagement has gone up a lot, that's probably worth more in the end. It also takes loads of time sometimes to catch up on the comments, haha.
Either way, I'm happy where I'm at, and let's keep building!! Stay focused and Hive on!

yes, I'm happy, but too bad the waka flaka card hype is now responsbible for me to receive even less voucher this morning than before I added another 800 yesterday. Guess in a week some powerdowns of SPS will set that straight though.

If you delegate to the one up cartel accounts mentioned below (and there's also stem-curator for STEM delegations)
You will receive daily curation payments from the according to the size of your delegation. This differs of course as not every day the curation rewards are identical. Super easy, especially as you don't have to worry about voting all these niche topics and drain your VP.
I delegated to a bunch of them, and now see daily curation rewards come in, which I add to my delegation, and so it grows.

how to calculate the benefits from delegation ? for example , that I have 14600 hp , for example , I delegate half of them , and what kind of benefit can I expect ?
You can't calculate that, as the curation rewards these account receive are not the same. You never earn the exact same amount from curating every day. So if today they received 100 tokens in curation rewards, they will divide that amongst the delegators accordingly to their percentage of total delegation.

Yes, depending on which one you used, it can take some days before payments arrive, but once that's the case, it's arriving every day. You can see if you like the rewards. Probably you will as the cartel is curating good content and lots of curators are hunting for the quality stuff. 95% is paid out to curators.

You will receive curation rewards (that's what they're called) once the content gets paid. So there's a 7 day voting window. And if you write a post today, it will be paid out 7 days later. So will the curation rewards.
High quality to me is people that make an effort to write good content (is of course subjective) personal stories, good pictures, formatting etc. Depends on so many things. You only have a certain percentage to vote each day, and the more you vote the lower your vote is, then you need recharging.

To save your voting power, it's awesome to delegate some tribe specific tokens to the curation cartel accounts I sent you, this way THEIR voting power is used, not yours, but you do receive your piece of the rewards.
Low quality to me is short content (usually) people that make no effort to write something themselves, only drop 1 picture not text. Only quote others etc. But there's also a lot in the middle :)

Sure, it's usually not something happening overnight lol, people engage A LOT to get eyes on their content. At some point curation initiatives notice and often curators come back to your profile once they know your content is good. But there are also authors that don't engage much while publishing great content, those are often not always noticed as they don't appear in people's feed as much.
What has upped my engagement A LOT, is Listnerds. Don't know if you know about this but if not, I have quite a few guides in my profile (the last one links to all of the previous ones). People share their hive posts there, and get TONS of comments. Sometimes I can't even keep up. I believe I still have a few comments to get back to from days ago, but have to find them haha.
If you join with my ref link, you have a shot at a Hive punk as I will do a raffle after I have 4 more refs in my team. The great thing about Listnerds is that you add another layer to your Hive earnings, you can stake tkens and vote on emails, the Listnerds tokens you earn there for mails are sitting at 2 HIVE each.
Just a tip, if you want engagement, you should read some of my posts and join, I will probably keep writing 2 or 3 guides a week and share my journey as well.

Delegating to Leo.voter with your HP pays out 16% in LEO. It is a good way to add to your LEO total if you are interesting in making an impact upon that tribe.

What I love to see is the fact you added 5.4% to your HP in one week. That is a tremendous move and will only enahnce your influence on Hive.
That is what I mean by smaller accounts can really add in proportion. That will be more than a 250% growth rate for the year.

I'm really motivated to get the Hive & Leo stake as high as possible this year. I wouldn't mind seeing hive dip again so I see more hive coming in, especially as I create less content now that I'm very busy with CineTV content/Twitter.
I really feel that everyone stepping into Listnerds early will be SO happy a year from now, as it's a great way to make connections & earn more while also upping the engagement for many people. I also learn quite a few things here and there, so win-win :)
Keep growing the HP. To me, that is the basis on Hive. From that, all else flows. Getting a great jump, percentagewise, is vital, especially since you had a bit of stake to begin with.
Yes your LEO really jumped and that is powerful since LEO is so small relatively speaking. That will enhance you further down the road.

Yes, I will do, in the past, I could not focus on the account growth as real-life needed extra funds and I'm so happy that that belongs to the past. Whatever I earn on Hive, usually stays within the ecosystem. And it's very motivating to see that pays off.
I also read they have something new coming up, I have no clue what, but it must be good lol. Hopefully, we will find out rather sooner than later :)

Oh okay. Yes they have something planned that they are excited about. Jon wouldnt reveal it on CryptoManiacs so they are keeping it a secret from the masses.
It didnt seem like it was going to take them long to roll it out but we know how development goes. Perhaps it is being delayed a bit by some bugs.
We are all anxiously awaiting the next leg of the Listnerds journey.

I also love the SPS amount you are holding, I might not be part of the big holders of that token since I am the gamer type and what mostly get for SPS I use it to buy golds cards, everyone as their own way of saving and I don't think mine is better but since I could get to diamond leagues with ease I guess champ league will help full those gap.

I totally get that! I too was one that sold off many of my earnings for several years, that's why I now still am below 2000 HP. I needed the funds in real life as fiat money coming in often wasn't enough. I also started by selling off my SPS at the beginning as well as the vouchers that were still very high back then.
But I suck at the game haha. I can't even get past bronze nowadays although a long long time ago, I used to play in diamond with a few accounts. I totally lost touch with the game. I have other stuff keeping me busy, so that's fine.
If you play up in that league and earn enough by playing, you could at some point decide to split earnings between building stakes/buying cards to level your account. Best of both worlds :)

I like reading these posts about other peoples' goals and where they are on their journey. Not to compare myself but to see what other communities I might like to check out. Also, I like seeing other strategies that people use to reach their goals. List Nerds is a game changer for anyone who is willing to take the time and get involved.

Yes sometimes other things have priority, that was the case the previous week. This time I published it again on Sunday as per usual and with the cool note that I reached my 10k goal :)
I'm not sure if I will set a new one soon, but I'm still adding some SPS where I can and compounding as well.
