Splinterlands end of season rewards | A legendary card!

I'm not a good player

A while ago, I mentioned that I was buying a lot of cards to partially rent out and partially level up my account to silver. Although I have more than enough collection power to reach silver, I have to admit that I SUCK at the game. I keep losing and losing and I just start to get annoyed to the point that I will ignore my daily quest for several days. I know there are plenty videos and tutorials out there to shoot me some pointers, and at some point I will use them, but not now, I just don't feel like I should spend so much time on a game while there is so much other stuff to do.

Shitty rewards

Besides the fact that I was constantly only opening 5 chests (1 exception), which doesn't give much hope for a great reward, I also didn't enjoy playing (and losing) much once the $DEC rewards were removed for the lower accounts. Slowly I noticed I was playing less and less. Of course, I made sure to unlock the 5 chests, because you never know, right?

I'm so glad I did because yesterday I found this beauty, I mean monster.. DJIN BILJKA. I was happy like a child opening a gift. Love it! I already bought a level 1 of this card before, so now I had two of them.

I also found a few more potions and 19 credits, at least the potions will be useful after December 8th when I can open my Chaos Legion packs.

Renting out Djin

As I already had a level 1 Djin Biljka myself, and now received a second one as a reward, I decided to buy a third one so that I could make it a level 2 card. I noticed that mr Biljka at level 1 didn't rent out much anymore. I have to admit, I didn't check the prices for a few weeks so that may be the issue, but I guess it was time to level up anyway.

I bought him at $18.20 so not that bad. Besides, the $DEC used for the payment is coming from rental earnings anyway. I had no $DEC left when I went on a buying spree a while ago. Since then, I'm mostly stacking $DEC for these moments that I want to buy a certain card.

Passive Income

Even though I'm a shitty player, I can still use my Splinterlands assets to earn a passive income through the rental market. When I noticed that I wasn't playing the game daily anymore, I went ahead and checked all the good cards I kept to myself to play with and started renting them out as well. Earning a few bucks each day without doing anything is just awesome! I truly love how the @splinterlands team has provided a great diversity of options to (play or pay and) earn.

You can pick the way that suits you best, but personally, for now at least, I prefer just sitting it out a bit longer until Chaos is released. Once I can open my packs (finally!) I will probably want to test them out, and maybe buy more of them. I bet once that's possible, I will be battling a bit more.

That's great! I will leave my referral link here so that when you buy your welcome pack, I get a tiny reward for referring you. I highly appreciate it when you use my link.

I just won one of those in the end of season chests, so that was pretty exciting! Like you, I'm not very good at the game and I've also started renting out cards I don't use. I try to get the daily quests done, but occasionally miss a day, especially if I can't seem to win any. I should probably mix the splinters I play around a bit more, so my opponents don't cotton on to which splinter I'm likely to be using due to the daily quest and play to defeat that splinter. 🤔

OH congrats that you found one too! I loved how the chest started shaking and then opened. Smart move renting them out, I mean why would you bother leaving them in the account not rented if you're not using them anyway.

I also tend to do the same thing, and so I'm predictable and probably suck at the game, lol.

Oh well, at least the cards are working for me now!

They shaking is pretty cool. Gets the suspense up. 😁 I like when they gold foil too, although that's more sound than visual. Most of the cards I rent are when I've got good foil as well as a standard, then I rent out the lower level one.

Yeah the shaking is defo adding some fun! Gold foil sounds nice indeed. Did you buy packs during the presale? I'm very curious to see what's in there next week! Only have a few packs though. So will buy more in round 2 :)

I got 50 for the guaranteed Dr Blythe airdrop, with a little help from a friend who gave me the extra vouchers I needed. I'm hoping the packs don't sell out to quickly when the next round starts. It would be just my luck to save up enough vouchers for a bulk buy and only to find they've sold out. I've only just found out you'll only be able to buy with credits, so I'll have to buy a few.

Oh that's nice, I sold my vouchers after I discovered I could make a profit selling the vouchers, buying the packs on Hive Engine directly. Otherwise I'd had to buy many vouchers (20 or something), pay the 3.60 per pack and then have that one card extra guaranteed. I didn't think it was going to be worth it with these high prices of vouchers.

So I went for the cheaper route hoping to find something good. I do want to be part of the airdrops though, but this round it didn't work out. That credit info is new to me, that sucks :(
