Goal of staking 10K SPS by the end of the year

I started the year at 4299 SPS and spread my goal over weekly and monthly targets. I will not go into that any deeper here, as I will write my weekly update on my Hive goals tomorrow as well. But the weekly target was quite low and easy to reach even with the airdrop and farming rewards. But I decided to buy and stake more than I received meaning that halfway through the month of January (yesterday to be exact) I surpassed the 5000 SPS tokens staked.

Above you see my current balance, as I already bought two more rounds of SPS when I received a payout. I'm quite determined to keep buying at these low prices and keep investing the rewards I receive from votes into SPS for a big percentage. It will not only pay off with farming rewards but also my voucher amount being dropped is going up, which I quite enjoy seeing. It's a good motivation to keep stacking SPS!

And there was also this announcement yesterday that made me feel like this is going to be good for the price, so I might as well keep buying before they go up in price again.

Moved some funds to buy Chaos Legion on Monday

I wrote this post about my plans on CL general sale where I wasn't too sure about how to get the funds in order yet. I gave it some thoughts in the past days and realized I had a few crypto bags (small ones) that were mostly bought from referral fees and considered very long term anyway. They haven't moved considerably in the time I had them and adding them together would get me around 70 packs. I went ahead and sold them because I much rather enjoy a little bit of Chaos this Monday than look at these few boring bags of coins that aren't doing anything now anyway.

To make sure I wasn't going to be stuck in the process of buying credits or anything similar, maybe Paypal being down or you name it, I decided to buy my credits and make sure that that was all taken care of. It's good that I did ad I had no idea about the verifying process to buy them. Thankfully that went very smooth and within a short amount of time, my funds were added.

I'm all ready for the sale to start!

Playing VS Investing Chaos Legion

I personally think I will stick to playing a daily battle for now as I have plenty of other stuff to focus on currently. I suck at playing, I can of course practice and learn, but I simply don't have the time to commit to that right now. My strategy for CL is to open just a few packs max and tokenized the rest at least for a while in case they sell out quickly. I can always change my strategy if I'm not able to ignore the packs and have the urge to open more. I would like to make sure I have at least 50 packs that I keep for the longer term, as an investment. We'll see how that goes, though! I may not have those diamond hands when it comes to opening Splinterlands packs. LOL!

Riftwatchers, Vouchers and planning

Instead of selling off vouchers that I received until last week (and used to buy other HE tokens to hit targets) I now send them to HE and stack them. While I'm not 100% sure if the decision has been made yet to indeed use vouchers for Riftwatchers (which would suck IMO), I'm stacking them just in case. But even at this rate, I will not be able to reach that magic number of 100 vouchers by Q2 which annoys me to bits. So even when not selling them, I can still not enjoy the new collection to the max and be part of the first sale round if vouchers are dropped at this rate. I'm hoping that they won't be needed though. Keeping my hopes up that I will be there from day 1 (RW).

And until then, I will just keep buying and staking SPS, in the hope I get closer to my target amount needed.

My plan is just to keep accumulating more packs, cards, sps, and vouchers. Play some games to achieve the rewards every season. Time and patience is the key in this game I think. But I'm just small player in this game :-)

I think it's a solid plan. I'm also a small player, I could get higher if I could find the time and energy to learn more playing the game. I just don't have it, and the rewards are so 'meh' for the time I spend on it when I do try getting a league higher. I don't feel comfortable buying vouchers, I rather stack more SPS to accumulate more :) Good luck with the stacking and enjoy the weekend!
