Cristiano Ronaldo Launches Into NFT Series Together With Binance

With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar just around the corner, the passion for soccer is burning hotter than ever. To be specific, the Binance cryptocurrency exchange has announced a series of NFTs in collaboration with soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. Starting Friday, November 18, 2022, non-fungible tokens will be available on the official Binance NFT platform.

This is not the first time that a famous footballer has collaborated with an NFT-related company. Like Messi, he was appointed as an ambassador for Sorare, an NFT card gaming platform.

As revealed on his website, Binance and his association are trying to immerse football fans in Web3 through NFTs.

Binance and its NFT collection with Cristiano Ronaldo

The NFT collection presents a unique design with Cristiano Ronaldo as the protagonist, reliving the moments that defined his life and career. It consists of seven animated statues with four levels of rarity:

Super Super Rare (SSR).
Super Rare (SR).
Rare (R).
Normal (N).

5 Super Rare and 40 Super Rare NFTs from the first collection were auctioned off. The auction takes place on the Binance NFT Marketplace and is open 24 hours a day. The offer price for SSR is 10,000 USD for Binance (BUSD, Binance stablecoin) and 1,700 BUSD for SR. The highest bidder will be the owner of the chips.

As for the rest of the NFTs, 600 rares and 6000 commons will be offered. They will be available on Binance Launchpad starting at 77 BUSD as common rarities. Each level of rarity grants benefits to the user, from Cristiano Ronaldo's personal information to merchandise signed by the player. New users who sign up to Binance and complete KYC verification will receive a mystery box of Ronaldo commemorative NFTs designed by the exchange. Only the first 1.5 million people to register will receive a mystery box.
