Renting gold foil cards is beginning to work. Just now starting and this ROCKS!

I've been renting out a couple of gold foil cards, staking what I make, and also posting on splintertalk occassionally.

So far it's working like a champ! I am creating some value on the blockchain via my rented cards, and also the content I create. That's what I call a win-win. I'm accustomed to blogging on the blockchain, and now I have something else I can add to my list.

The difference is I am addicted to this one. :)

Who do I watch\listen to for Splinterlands advice?

While I have just started playing, so far I enjoy watching the videos of two folks:

  1. Our very own @jongolson has a channel (https://www.vimm.tv/c/jonnycoin ) where he livestreams his games.
  2. @Bulldog1205 on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN4I68211i87l5y-lm5TNMg

Both of those are good streams to watch. Bulldog has some good advice on which cards to start with, and why.

Multiple communities = multiple rewards.

I regularly post #ctpcontent in several different communities, and sometimes a post like this fits in many:

  1. #splinterlands #sps #spt - Well, duh. It's what this post is about.
  2. #leofinance - I like discussing the investing side of SplinterLands.
  3. #aliveandthriving - I like Erik's idea that we should tag posts where we thrive. I think an APR that high is considered thriving, don't you?
  4. #proofofbrain - I enjoy having my intellectual thinking crew from the blockchain tear my posts apart.
  5. #archon and #neoxian - Both of these are stalwarts and worth mentioning.

How do YOU use Splinterlands as an investment?

Do you collect and rent cards? Play the game? Hold DEC? SPS? Create SPT Content?

I am doing a combination of renting cards to others at the end of season and renting them for play at the beginning and middle of the season. You need to certain power provided by owning or renting cards to reach the higher level. The higher level gets you more reward chest. The rental rates at season end are very high you can get a lot DEC from renting good cards during that time period.

I hold and stake all the DEC SPS and SPT I earn currently.
