Splinterlands is starting to make a little more sense, and my holdings are increasing. BOOM!

Currently I have 73.634 SPS after a short amount of time.

I've been staking and holding on to the SPS tokens I am earning.

Just like with other tokens that I work with here on the blockchain, the payouts here are slow and steady. Glad that I learned about this game. Keep reading and I'll go through some of my plans.

The amounts from this game just keep growing. WHY did I wait so long to start playing.

I LOVE how I can earn multiple ways with SplinterLands

Besides just playing the game and winning DEC tokens, there's other ways to earn with this game:

1. Buy and rent cards.
Holy underwear, batman! If you had told me how much you could make from card rentals, I would've started this a while back. During the last couple of days, I did earn some nice DEC from the rentals.
I did however have to go in and adjust my prices after season end, since the demand for the cards falls off significantly, and hence the rental price.

2. Hoard the airdrop.
The SPS airdrop occurs daily for the remainder of their year-long stint. I am currently staking every bit of the airdrop I get.
In order to increase the amount I receive from the airdrop, I am holding onto DEC and importing it into SplinterLands once I obtain it. For me, I do this by selling off other coins that I earn, which nets me Hive. I use the Hive to buy DEC, and then add it to my holdings.

3. Sell cards after they increase in value.
The cards themselves are NFTs, so each one is unique. I haven't sold off any of my cards yet (I rent what I don't use while playing), but that's certainly another method of increasing your income from this game: buy cards at a low price and sell them higher.

Pretty significant learning curve here.

Since I am new to this game, I've been watching videos in order to learn how the game functions. Once I learn a bit more, I login and play a few games. I am starting to increase my knowledge of how this game works. Fascinating!
