The value of a Splinterlands Chaos Legion pack

Chaos Legion.png

Anyone who has ever played a game wants the most for their money. Although, what players value in games differs widely. I appreciate fun mixed, with some complicated maths formula, against price. I purchased 100 Untamed packs back in March or April and double-potioned them. I didn't know much about the value back then but wanted legendaries and gold cards for DEC. I want to climb the ranks and be a good player. When I did play, I was able to get to Silver one, which was my power cap. After Untamed ran out, I got bored of being stuck at that rank. I should have rented my cards out, but I was new and didn't put much effort into my crypto. I could have made so much DEC between when I quit and when I got back. But regret doesn't change anything. I can only change how I approach the present.

I am going to buy a few packs when Chaos Legion fully releases. Maybe I'll be able to dip into Gold rank and possibly further. Until then, I'll make most of my DEC through rentals. I would put more effort into climbing ranks if I had more time. But now I'm far too busy. There are many factors in the universe right now preventing me from playing at this point in my life. So I choose to make the most of it by growing my account with making some passive income (DEC and Hive). So when I can return, it won't just have sat idle gathering dust.

So here I am calculating to get the most for my money. And just looking at simple stats from the PeakMonster website, you should always double potion unless you're looking for commons. On average, the pack will be worth more than 4 dollars if both potions are used. Under if none are used.

Good luck on your pulls!

I haven't bothered to look at the effective cost per pack lately to be honest, thanks for sharing!
I plan on purchasing some more too, though I've got most of the cards I want through singles, opening packs is fun and there are some epics and legendaries that would be nice to have.
Half or more of my packs I plan to hold long term for airdrop points and later to sell.
